Nothing will work for someone who doesent truely want to quit, or is not ready to quit.. When you are ready, the the easy way will work.. Once you do quit just remember, you can never smoke again.. Because one is too many and a million is never enough.. Its an endless cycle.. youl feel like crap for a few days, and then its all will power after that.. If you dont quit, you will end up going through the same effects of pheening for a cig every time you want a ciggerette.
You are absolutely correct. One must want to quit, and decide to quit. That is the only thing that will make you quit.
My hypnotherapy & NLP programs can help to make it easy to quit and stay quit by reducing or eliminating the cravings, compulsions, stress, and anxiety.
This is an educational video, NOT a therapeutic video. It is here to teach you something, NOT to do something to you. So the video didn't fail, you failed.
You need to learn to accept responsibility for your own actions my friend.
idk.. i can go all day without a smoke without really trying. but as soon as i dont have anything to do.. i go and grab one. i just get bored i guess.
you don't need will power. you needed will power to start smoking, because it's disgusting and stupid :) to quit you actually just need to understand that:
1. you aren't losing anything
2. you will be happier without the cigarets
3. you are a drug addict and any mourning or feelings of loss are just withdrawal pangs
4. you don't have to do anything to feel better, just don't smoke
Listen to what this guy is saying its so simple but so true. once you get sick it will be two late, so do it now, just remember one thing, you are putting poison into your mouth, tell yourself this is senseless and stupid, you are a complete mug, too because you are paying to poison yourself, put your used fags in a glass jar, for one month, then open the jar and smell what fags really are, and see the thick tar you are putting in your body, then read the book, and it will be easy to stop.
I agree with you 100%. To stop smoking at work is nearly damn impossible. It became a reward system or a way too cool off. I'm trying to quit as I'm writing this at work, so yeah, I'm fiendin' right now and eating sunflower seeds. hahaha
I agree that it is possible to succeed, but I disagree that "only a good wish can help you."
90% of the smoking addiction is mental.
Hypnotherapy and NLP are methods of getting in touch with the unconscious, which is the part of your mind that is responsible for the mental part of the addiction.
I suggest that you view all 5 chapters of this video for a complete explanation of how these modalities can help.
The purpose of this series is to educate - NOT provide hypnotherapy.
you guys are not alone. i had try like 1000 times. but i couldn't make it. but hey. don't give up. keep on trying and trying. one day we'll succeed! who know?
You say that you had to "try" - and that's the problem: When we "try" we get the opposite, and the harder we try - the more we get the opposite. It's the law of reversed effect in action.
Instead of trying, how about taking inspired action? In other words, learn how to communicate with your unconscious and negotiate with it to automatically take away the stress and the cravings.
I suggest that you watch all 5 chapters of this video so that you'll understand how all of this can help you.
hehe. make sense :) man. i got this one big problem. when i hang with my friends, majority of them smoking. and i was like "urgh, i want to smoking too". that is my big problem. oh sure. i'll watch all chapters. maybe you'll explain everything that i need. thanks :)
I just don't understand... Why are people so Stupid??? How can they not know, not realize that breathing in smoke is bad for your lungs... But hey, who needs to breathe right?
I dont even see whats so tempting about those things, they stink like hell and look like shit.
Its because your not a smoker, and will never understand fully unless you have actually been there. Also, i dont think anyone that is smoking are under the view that smoking is good for them, of coarse inhaling smoke is bad for you.
M1cR0S0fT4Ev3r , I think a large part of why a person starts smoking is a lack of self-respect, that's the main reason I started. There's lots of different reasons.
Hey i smoke and i certinly dont look like shit!! I'ts not like we aint trying to stop. Its hard. Its like someone telling you you cant ever drink tea or whatever it is your addictict to. Yes we do no its bad for us. thats why we are on this watching this video for support!!!!
It's the law of diminishing returns,at first it feels really good, then over time it gets less and less enjoyable and lasts less and less time but eventually people smoke just to not feel the withdrawl.
im gna quit smokin as of 2day i thought about it last nyt!! nd im just gna give up like that i dnt like being told wat 2 do! so wen my mates say just take a smoke im just gna tell them straight ive been smoking 4 about 6 years now nd im onli 19 wen ya think about it ur just on the road 2 nowhere!! im gna use music that i like nd just things i like 2 do 2 keep my head off them!! i might evn get bck 2 dis video 2 tell u how ive done lol!
I've checked out the psychology of smoking by using hypnotherapy & NLP to help smokers quit for over 30 years.
One of the psychological components of smoking is that people put things (cigarettes) into their mouth for relaxation and pleasure. Their unconscious got programmed for that, because as an infant, when they got upset, their mother put a bottle or a pacifier into their mouth. They got distracted and relaxed or even fell asleep.
surely the nicotine has a far higher physical effect than the psychological one from the cig in the mouth, i know it always helps to chew gum/ eat something to stop cravings, however i wouldn't say it was comforting, just something to fill the time that would normally be spent smoking??
NLP has been pretty helpful to me. I quit 2 years ago. If your main problem is just this feeling of anxiety nervous energy even AFTER the withdrawal. then for me personally the ONE thing that really worked for me is lifting weights. Not like a maniac n bf was not working out but it ...the only way 2 describe is it pushes the anxiety OUT of ur body. & I realized that smoking was DISTRACTING from anxiety not pushing it out. + excercise REALLY puts good chems in your brain
I quitted smoking using one of the NLP techniques. Your hypnotherapy program seems to be very similar to NLP techniques, so my question is - does your program "count" as NLP technique or not?
My programs combine a little bit of Traditional hypnosis, a fair amount of Ericksonian hypnosis, and a lot of NLP for the most powerful and effective results.
ive been battling this smoking thing and i was able to reduce a great percetage of my smoking habit id probably get to avoid smoking in a day if not then i gotta take one death stick it seems like the urge os smoking comes between when you feel the need to be relaxed when yer pressured and stuff
i am 12 i smoke its horrible i am tring so hard please need some advise plz !!!!! i started smoking frm hanging out wid the wrong people who got me into it please help!!
Im 24 n i've been smoking since 18. i recently stoped though, not cuz of the health reasons but cuz a pack of smokes now a days is more expensive than a gallon of gas! I still get the urge from time to time so the trick is ill smoke unlit cigarettes so i fulfil my oral fixation n trick my mind into knowing im still puttin a cigarette to my mouth but they aint lit. sounds funny but try it.
I find that making a cup of tea, then listening to a meaningful peice of music in a comfy chair really takes my mind off the mental need for a cigarette, i wouldent of tried that wouthout your idear of the sunset, its working great for me thanks so much!
i love doing free running <fliping and running for a long period of time. and i dont wanna smoke anymore cuz its starting to slow me down :( i wanna quit smoking and jus do my free running. tommorow morning i am not gonna lite a ciggrette. instead i will go do my free running and leave my ciggrettes and lighter at home. so this way if i crave. no matter witch way i put it i aint gonna smoke becouse im leavin them at home.
Sorry but I disagree. While it's true that your body wants the Nicotine, the body metabolizes all of the Nicotine in as little as 3 days.
What is left with are the mental-emotional aspects, which is 90% of the smoking addiction.
1. That means that the smoker gets cravings because of stress.
2. And yes, you do get cravings and smoke because of what you are referring to as "instinct," which is a primal force called a conditioned response. I suggest that you study Dr. Pavlov's work.
These videos are designed to enlighten you regarding HOW the addiction to cigarettes works, and HOW hypnotherapy and NLP can help you break the habit. You will need to order a copy of the Neuro-VISION hypnotic video to get that help.

How can I get rid of this association?

Yes, it is mainly a mental thing. But you don't need willpower. You can eliminate the cravings and tension that causes them with hypnosis.

Its all about will power and distracting yourself from thinking of it ;)
zombiekid16 2 years ago
Actually, you hare 1/2 correct. It has a lot to do with distracting yourself and nothing to do with willpower (the ability to struggle through).

id say most people smoke cause they are stressed at work or at home..so in order to quit you need to lower the stress level first..
