This guy is a joke. Who the cares about the damn design aesthetics of the products, I want to know about the operational designs! That was what made Apple neat in the first place! When The Woz worked there that was the goal, to limit the amount of components on the boards, to integrate as much as possible. That is what I want to hear about, NOT the stupid case design.
@VRock121 The most amazing thing in it's design is that it fits with everything. It fits in a moders room, it will fit in an typical old classic English room. That is what I find most amazing.
@crystalclear506 LOL!!!! YOU FAIL!!!!!! Since when is pointing to something on a screen making it touch screen. FAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD !!!
@cosineninja im an apple fan. I converted about six years ago.
Apple will keep making awesome stuff, but there is alot of competition out there in mobile products and in pcs. Android will continue to gain market share against ios and apple will not regain its dominant position in this space.
but then again, steve jobs set out to make the best products, but he didnt necessarily set out to make the products that dominate the market.
Yata, yata, marketing sort of inspirational crap, just look at Apple's policy of putting a price tag on everything, you can't even update the phone without your credit card or whatever you pay with! Overpriced, shiny pieces of garbage!
@daesix Jony is a great designer (likely the best) but he is too shy to be CEO, and really doesn't like to take credit. Whenever he got an award, he would have Steve accept it while he waited in the audience
Honestly I think Johnathan Ives should step in as CEO instead of Tim Cook. This man, not only is he a genius in design but he knows how to attract people when he speaks about the products.
@Metalunited101 I agree. I think when Ives describes the products, a bit of that passion that Jobs exuded comes through as well. I think Ives is more in tune with the Apple/Jobs philosophy because he's such an integral part of the product development. He even realizes he's gone into some "obsessive" zone in the end! But when he was in that zone, you, well at least I was, captivated.
Give Ives stage time then pass it on to Cook and others.
How so? He's a genius of industrial design, but the CEOs role is to run the whole company, manage sales, forecast the market...etc. Ive is in no way appropriate for CEO. And I also think he wouldn't want to be CEO either.
@Evanblive91 haha yeah that's a point. but i guess with that passion and loyalty for this company i would buy anything from him. talented man. here in hamburg, germany there's an exhibition of some of his work til january 2012. maybe i should take the time :)
How come he said that that was the first iMac? That wasn't the first iMac, that was a later version of it. That was from maybe 1999 or 2000, but the first was 1998, and had a different design. Not to mention a tray loading drive instead of a slot loading one...
A truly inspirational Designer. I love how he explains how much time goes into designing things to make them less conspicuous - it's what I do on a daily basis, and trying to explain this to someone else is a lost cause.
his voice is comforting and calm, make you think this guy sounds totally safe about what he's talking about. Great Designer.

Bunch of overpriced garbage. Do yourself and buy a real product that runs a good OS like Microsoft Windows. P.S., I'm glad Steve Jobs is dead.
