  • Dude dont do Drugs!

  • This isn't jim,..nice try

  • This is too a Doors demo, this is from their acetate 6 song demo tape that they brought to the record companies in 1965. It is shocking because it doesn't sound like Jim but it is!

  • Comment removed

  • it's great version

  • I think its bitchin regarding wave..lol. Go talk smack about some current band would ya? bluezy and everything.dang. frickin critic huh..

  • esos no son demos es cuando ray y jim empezaban a tocar,en el bajo esta en hermano de ray y en la bateria esta john densmore¡¡

  • Very nice, I think I like these demo versions better than the studio versions. Much more raw!

  • jim es algo fuera de serie solo por estar muerto quiza es algo sensalionacista nose estoy algo confudido la mierda progresista que esta a ultima hora pobre insulto

  • strange version but great :)

  • wow this is great but robby def made it sound amazing when he got into the picture

  • cool shit

  • the song sounds like You Really Got Me by The Kinks

  • at first i thought this was from a tribute band called the the doors demos and i thought yeah this is one of the best covers i ever heard and then i realised this is the doors

  • 99 saya blow it all out on thr consantr and leave room for ehat evere folows. ok... 99 try it now

  • pre-robby Krieger?

  • The time of this demo is in transformation between "Rick & the Ravens" & "The Doors". September 2nd, 1965 is this record. & "The Doors" was found in October 1965.

  • where´s the guitar...?

  • wow wonder what that was at the end there

  • Happy Birthday Ray Manzarek!!! 70 years old today!!! :0)

  • @cicastle

Incredible isn't it?? 70!!!!!! I love Ray's great heart and open mind!!!

  • @cicastle hes 71 born in '39

  • yeah it's definitely jim singing dude

  • This Is Before Robbie Joins The Doors...Hmm..Now I Get it...It's Pretty Good...But The Dark Version It's Much Better...End Of The Night Especially!!!

  • These early versions of the songs are a lot of fun. They are more light-headed, not that "dark".

  • It's Jim backed by Ray.

Ray is playing the piano, not organ.

    Harmonica played by Ray's brother.

They were only together for a few months at this point, Robbie wasn't there.

    It was done in 65'.

  • I love the refrain ... you can hear them almost break into singing "You really got me! You really got me!"

Why is everyone hating on them for "not having found their sound"? Don't be lame. This is seriously rad.

  • Jim is singing along with someone else. Before Robby. 1965. Also on demo, Hello I Love You, End of the Night, Go Insane(awesome) Summers Almost Gone, Moonlight Drive.

  • im pretty sure its Ray along with Jim

  • 1965.

  • Where did this come from and which year? No Robby K.?

    Quite different.

  • Ray sang this early version. I do it better. JDM

  • @TheLizardKing1967 This is Jim, not Ray, Ray only sung on the Post-Morrison Records, and on "You Need Meat" and whenever they did Close To .You/

  • its both Ray and Jim-- Ray sang a lot

  • @slipdrum80 Yeah he did a ton of harmony on these.

  • swiss cottage london u r a twat wishing such horrible things on people. get a life. dick.

  • I thinks its been removed

  • You really got me?

  • Wow, where did ya find this version?

  • la cancion mas chingona del mundo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!EL GATO QUE REZA ESTA AKI! MIAUUUUU

  • i love this song

  • WTF !!! LOL , JDM

  • sounds like british white blues band. This is a very powerful rock song on the later version

  • Great demo, sounds like a totally different band!

  • UNFORGETTABLE!!!!!

  • it's not the doors I think~?

  • Yea it is them- its just a very early version. Demo or something that was unreleased until they put it in the box set. I prefer the later version myself but its interesting to hear them at their early state.

  • Dude that is NOT Morrison.

  • It is actually Jim AND Ray if Im not mistaken.

I know what Im talkin about. I studied this shit most

of my life ya dog? ....and Im NOT a dude.

  • yer not a dude - yer dead

  • Dude .. you are 'Door Guru'.

  • Hehe! Okay cool thanks.

    But Im not a dude...Im a chick.

    But thanks anyway. =)

  • yeah its not jim at all.. i know ray was involved but i think it was rays brother or cousin that did the vocals for the early doors songs.. like this end of the night.. moonlight drive and some others i cant remember right now.. but yeah Jim did not sing this version..

  • u sure

    ?

  • yeah im pretty sure about it..

  • @rodneymullen113 Its Jim man. He wrote this song, its DEFINETELY Jimbo.

  • @RayManzarekGod im not saying he didnt write it.. im saying is not him singin this version..

  • @rodneymullen113 It is Jimbo singing the song, trust me.

  • @RayManzarekGod you can obviously tell both are singing in this song... ray is the loudest

  • @destroyourselves Yeah, strange eh? Even though Jim was lead vocals.

  • @RayManzarekGod ray did plenty of singing with jim... usually ray would even sing live when jim was to messed up...

  • @destroyourselves Yeah :D, check my channel, I got an audio bootleg of one of those concerts.

  • sorry meant to say "Ya dig"...keys are bad on this keyboard...and im not a dude. haha

  • fuck yer sister - and get AIDS

  • Idiot this is one of their first demos. It is.

  • Hell NO!

  • Jim morrison is king! and the doors...it is ray robby and john was wery good player!!!!

  • The demo versions are treat! Original Doors LPs never printed lyrics. I never knew till checking online minutes ago that the last lines read: "Eyes have seen you Let them photograph your soul Memorize your alleys On an endless roll..." -Lines to savour, but I never got 'em before today! Trivia I did know before: "My eyes have seen you Free from disguise Gazing on a city under Television skies...", refers to when Jim slept on a rooftop at Venice, with tall TV aerials visible in every backyard!
  • great song

  • OHH GOD!

  • I always thought it was 'Let them regulate something in this world~ before they take us all... In this world, in this world... endless world...'

    Alternate lyrics are fun.

  • As in most Doors songs Jim wrote the lyrics and Ray wrote the actual music.

  • nothing like the original doors, I hate the new versions , doors 21th century and riders on the storm, bullshit they can suck my balls

  • hey man calm down they're just tryin to live

  • no they're trying to recreate sth that has no meaning in these times, they can accept the fact that the doors are a clasic and a beautiful memory. now they're killing the magic and the misticism and the doors are no longer sth legendary,

  • so fucking true!!!

ray and robby sold 3 doors song's to guitar hero

and they sued john for the "doors " name

R.O.T.S are a bunch of sell outs.

    long live jim morrisons doors

  • it is hard to negotiate the various, contending pressures. how to honor the dead without defiling the grave.

  • Interesting. They sound like a mid-60's garage band, which I guess is what they were at the time. You can even hear Screamin' Ray Daniels, lol!

  • terrible glad they changed it.

  • ray wrote this right? don't really like this version, i need to hear the drums poundin'....

  • This is the best version. Altough Black train song is the best song of cd (without a safety net)

  • Me again Regardingwave. This is awful. I can see why they dropped Ray's brothers. Jim hadnt yet found his voice either. Thanks for the rarity. Peace out.

  • True. Rick & The Ravens wouldn't have made it. Good thing they quit.

  • you're absolutly right, Jim sounds extremly different than what he sounded like later, his voice is amazing, my favourite is when it got all bluesy, heavy like in LA Woman, the Changeling, my guess is you know the list...
