Hey i have one just like it whats the best way to go from painting what paint did u use and what suspension do u have love the stance with the junkyards
Sorry i did not see the text at the beginning, It's also a USA build car, all the Chevy's i have owned were Aussie assembled cars and RHD, and the pillarless cars were called Impala's and the center B pillared cars were called Bel air's.
Unfortunately they didn't bring the Pillarless 4 doors out in Australia back in 56 and 57. I loved having the look of a hardtop and convienance of a 4 door.
Nice video. Brings back memories of my black 56 Chevy and a time when there were jobs, drive-in movies, dances on Friday nights, American Bandstand, Doo Wop and rock and roll. Posted this on my Facebook page. Cheers!
Hi, nice car,2 weeks ago I bought a 4dr ht. here in jax. fl that I think is kind of rare, it has factory ac, ps, pb,fact. padded dash, wheel skirts, signal seeking radio, continental kit, belair. The color is black and white on black and white. Cant wait to get the garage finished and get this baby restored. Once again, nice car. If anyone knows the rarity of this car please let me know. Thanks Ron.
my 56 2door is choc/brown with metal flake in it and tan/cream on the back it sounds funny but its a nice look mine has a stock 265 with no power steering or power brakes it has a generator, it was restored a long time ago but restored to stock it has no post and even a stock 2speed powerglide rev is all the way back! i have owned it now 3years i dont know where do i find the numbers in the trunk? i cant find them know where i should look? i will post a video when i get a camera with sound
Sorry dude we were talking about a different car. Its the blue one in the garage in the background, its an Australian muscle car same as the one from Mad Max.
I checked out your ride....very nice, sounds hell mean and gotta love the air bags.
Thanks for posting your car. I've envy your car for the longest time and I finally got one except its a 2d hardtop. Not as nice as yours but pretty sexy thanks
Excellent job, for me the 4 dr sports sedan is the most beautiful 56 chevy. I have one like yours to restore, do you have information about trims or wheaterstrips?? I have found information about 2 dr models only. Congratulations
One of the best sources I have found for info on tri5's is CHEVYTALK Forum its a great forum with people always willing to help. Other than that Danchuk in California is your best bet for most parts. There are a few good web sites out there that tell you, another good one is 55-57chevys dot com they have a full list of the reference manuals for each year with part numbers.
my friend has a 56 belair with that same shade of brown, but it isnt 2 toned. it has a 383ci stroker with 405hp

Hey man, that is nice for a 4 door, I have a 56' 210 2dr sedan with bags. Are those 18 or 20" torque thrust rims?
wez56 4 years ago

Sweet, man, I love a 56`Bel Air, looks much better than `55 and `57
