look through out the history, even the burmese try more harder than any other ethnics, tribes and nations in the country.

how about karen? they got special treatments from British Gov in colonial time and try nothing to get independence.

even after getting independence they are just tryin to separate for themselves and ignorin others

i meant karen* the british government didnt give the karen special treatment. the karen could speak english as they had been studying in christian colleges so therefore, it was easy for them 2 slip into most of the administrative positions for the british. And why the hell would the karen want 2 unite with the rest of burma when that means submitting to the military junta.

We aren't helping because that would be "meddling in their affairs", which the political left (among others) vocally opposes. Kurds in Iraq were not just being passively starved, they were being actively gassed to death, and look at the kind of opposition there is to that war. (Of course, that one is a complicated mess due among other things to the use of false premises for the war. I'm not necessarily in favor of it, I'm just saying.)
