It's funny because Metropolis, though its exact location in really ambiguous, it's implied to be in the midwest or more specifically Kansas, which means Martian manhunter wants to say "It seems we're not in Kansas anymore..."

@RebornRevolution Smallville was suppose to be in Kansas, not sure if Metropolis was also in stories however there is a real City called Metropolis in Illinois, and I think they celebrate Superman day at least once a year for making there city famous.

@hydrolito Well the locations of the cities have changed over the years but in the 80's (after the Crisis) it was established that Metropolis and Gotham were in New York State and only a subway ride apart.  I know in "Smallville" they changed it so that Smallville and Metropolis were right near each other which I think was the case in the older comics.
