Man, Cannes Film Society members are suckers for tragic stories. This movie had such shitty acting, narrative, and camerawork. With the exception of this last scene, the film looks like it was directed by high schoolers...
1. If they saw kids with guns, wouldn't the people not go in??
2. Why did Dylan kill Eric? Or was that Eric Killing Dylan, IDK I THOUGHT IT WAS DYLAN THAT KILLED ERIC IN THIS MOVIE!!!!!! but that wouldn't make any sense, cause Eric was the crazier one..... SO CONFUSING!
2)these two kids are NOT the actual Eric Harris & Dylan Klebold. they're just characters inspired by them. And the events in this movie are NOT the exact reconstruction of what really happened at actual Columbine.
3)I bet he shoot the effing jock/classmate who bullied him in science class AND his girlfriend. The "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe" counting was just a mock, wasn't it?He did kill his friend shooter, so why spare one of those two?
Gus Van Sant's films are always INCREDIBLY slow-moving. I get that some films should be slow. But (slipped my mind, the title) the one he did based "loosely" on Kurt Cobain and his life was so ridiculously slow and boring I barely made it through it. I can handle movies that move slowly if there's reason for it, but when you're not even BUILDING toward a plot and action, it's just plain boring.
I almost wanted to quit watching this twenty minutes in, because of how slow it was. Haha, but I'm glad I kept watching it though, in a weird way it's a good film. I wish though that it was more in depth of the situation. & Idk if there is a film on it, but if this one would have had characters that were based off of the actual kids from Columbine. (Obviously not Eric or Dylan) But like, Rachel Scott, Craig Scott, Isaiah, and others. I also liked how this movie was almost like a documentary.
i think him shooting that kid might be based on the rumors of Columbine that said Eric killed Dylan, but we know thats false based on investigation and autopsy.
@thatoneblondekid01 I dont know if that is what really happend, but they both were planning on dying that day, either with a big shootout with the cops or suicide, but either way they knew they both wernt planning on leaving the school alive, they both shot themselfs in the library, not the cafetiria.
@extremeeXrement1 well not nessasrilly christians in specific but overall they hated social norms, and tradions, it was thier hatred of normal society is what drove them to it.

@ThatBoxHead It's not as traditional a film as it seems. Definitely a slow paced film and would drive some people insane. I know the whole movie is uploaded on YouTube into nine or so parts and if you read the comments a lot of people complain of the long walking scenes. lol But yeah it's definitely a film worth watching.
