bono sounds shit , his version of this great song is crap, tinny guitar work, and whats up with the ugly hat for gods sake, fuk off back to ireland u bone, head and stop tryin to be the saint of the world u fukn crettin
Having Bruce as a guest performer is like...the biggest star you can find. I mean, it's like when Bob Dylan hopped in to sing "Like A Rolling Stone" with the Rolling Stones. It's friggin HUGE.
bono's voice is great, sorry to bruce's fans but bono's voice is way better than bruce's, besides bono's creativity is great, he adds the oh oh oh to the song which makes it a better song. wow, bono makes bruce look like a midget. OK BRUCE IS CALLED THE BOSS, BONO SHOULD BE CALLED MR GREATNESS JEJE
@jenizaro3322 Go to youtube video U2 & Bruce springsteen I still haven't found what im looking for... Bruce spanks U2 at his own song as the comments show. Its all opinion as always.
It looked like Bruce didn't like Bono flirting with Patti.I love Bruce but Bono has his head on better. You always hear about Bruce being with other women. I loved Bono for putting Bruce in his place.Patti is such a first class lady and he is lucky to have her.
@budkearns I thought it was quite tacky... and showed NO class! She should be grateful for all that Bruce has done and given for her... mind you she would not even be standing next to Bono if she hadn't married Bruce!
@sanctified4one Sorry, I disagree with you. Patti has an amazing voice and is a very giftive song writer. She has also been in his band since the eighyies and works just as hard as any member of the band. From what I hear she is also a terrific mother. You never read any thing bad about their children. They appear to be very grounded. I think she has been a loving and faithful wife and given Bruce a strong family life. Raiseing good kids is the most important job in the world.
@budkearns True, I agree she is a good mother as well as a gifted songwriter... but that does not give her/them the right to "put Bruce in his place" IN public... and there are many amazing song writer who NEVER get on stage with Bono... so I stick to my "she wouldn't even be standing next to Bono if she hadn't married Bruce" and still "it showed NO class!" Matter of fact Bono should be honored to have Bruce join him... who does he think he is? Disrespect always shows no class!
@sanctified4one I might have misspoke when I said "they put him in his place". I think Bruce and Bono are good friends and this was all good natural teasing. I have always admired Bruce for his music and his relationship with Patti. I know Bruce has denied having an affair with Ann Kelly and hope that is the truth. This was my first time seeing this video and had heard about the rumer of an affair.I was hoping if Bruce realized other mem were attracted to Patti this could be a wake up call.
@budkearns I think Bruce is fully aware that Patti is desired by other men... and by what I have seen Bruce gushes over Patti when she joins him on stage as well as he is very attentive to her... he honors her in a lovely and loving way. I also believe that many women would like to believe that they have a relationship and/or mean more to Bruce than they actually do... and Ann Kelly is no exception. Bruce loves his wife (family) dearly and in the face of all the odds Bruce is the class act!
@ArtsPatron2008 Oh, stop it. I've been following Bruce for over thirty years. Lets not get carried away with Patti. Ever see her up close w/o make up? I have. Sight for sore eyes. Really. Stop being so star struck . Bono, Bruce and Patti shit and fart like the rest of us.
Aaarrrrrggghhh! .. this classic song suits neither of these oldster rockers. What are they, drunk? They need to leave this one to Rod Stewart -- the only voice suitable for it since Mayfield.
Stewart's written hundreds of songs, and millions of people like DYTIS, so I don't take your intended offense. And I like the Boss and U2 as well, but they may as well be farting and belching this song--at least with this performance; it's just BAD. Rod, when he sets his mind to it, at least puts heart and soul into a song, as he did with PGR. Besides, his voice is better suited.
Well, for U2 that might be right but definitely not for Springsteen while his roots are r&b based... there's more soul in springsteen's music than it has ever been in rod stewarts though i like his music, too
I was at this concert! The roof came off the house when BRUUUUUCE came on stage. It was by far the BEST concert ever!!! (The opening act was HORRIBLE though!)
I was there that night too. It was awesome as you can see. Bono was clearly getting a huge kick out of it too. You could tell they are all big fans of each other.
omg! i was there and it was absolutely amazing. and it was so awesome because my sister came and shes a huge bruce fan and she got to see him for the first time there! it was just unbelieveable and to have it in PHILLY!
oh yeah' one & only time this was played on the Vertigo tour be surprising if after this they played GLORIA then closed with 40 just like the Joshua sets back in the 80's!!!! great seeing the boss always with them be great if springsteen toured with them as a opening act with along with the WHO all the way on that one!!!
I was at this show too. love U2 but I'm a Bruceaholic, so as you can imagine this moment was surreal to me. Seeing my favorite 2 musicians on stage at once was unreal
