  • Before we joined the EU, Greece had the least debt of all European countries. Now thanks to great EU policies, we are supposed to be pretty much bankrupt. I think that says alot about what kind of relationship we really have with the EU. People think we have been gorgin on subsidies. Well, the politicians who have been paid off to sell off this country have been gorgin on it and using this money to stay in power to carry out this handing over of sovreignity. But its OK, we are used to it now.

  • in GREECE we are not lazy.work long hours and very hard and no extra hours are paid not by GREECE owes anybody give us a loan at 6% why; Our Europe we had robbed. The Greeks will do everything to recover the country and after some years of patience will be very finest

  • 21% sales tax has to be paid whether goods are sold or not and 16% interests on loan. That is insane. Of course that's what is needed to support big government.

  • " Came baxk to Greece to offer" and now he wants a raise! Typical!!

Public sector is growing and the mentality is the same!! "Everybody does it" Greece is going to tax its way out of the crisis. Change or sink he said. Sadly we first have to sink to change . I say lets sink NOW , either way we are going to sink 10 years from now

  • time to really start working, a not sitting on the bottom days in days out and expecting pay - it is about time all of this collapses, it is inevitable although sad...

  • @avlasam Greeks work the second most amount of hours per year worldwide after the South Koreans, already before the so called crisis, according to OECD info. Who do you think has been supporting the goverment and paying interest on the debts all these years?

Thats why we are a relatively wealthy country even though we are ruled by unethical and incompetent politicians who have sold us out to international interests and saddled us with debts and a non functioning bloated public sector.

  • @greekhop A well placed comment. The only thing further, would be to include all of what you just said, and to say that, there's nothing which you can do about it; I mean—except to pray G0D for honesty in officers of governance—the vote, apparently useless, I see nothing which the citizen can do, . . . not here, not there, not anywhere, . . .

  • @phillipgaleyThats more or less in line with the best advice I have also recieved on the matter. I feel the real problem in Greece is moral/ethical bankrupcy first and foremost. Our political class, who in my opinion have sold us out, are risen from among us, they are a representation of the type of person we have to offer as a country. Thats why its possible for this to come to pass. If we where all praying to GOD instead of depending only on EGO to guide us, this would not even be happening.

  • @greekhop You got it, Cowboy! The earth is so very rich and productive, but take Albania, or Paraguay—or, many other places—where the people are so busy stealing from each other and spending their money on bigger locks etc., that, they just can't understand things, and community wealth can't increase, hence, instead of national wealth, poverty; like the Bible says, if my people will turn from their evil ways and call on Me, I'm right here, I'll hear and will heal their land; so, . . .

  • 14th month salary LOL!!!!!

  • reminds me of my days at the bank

  • Mmmmmmmmmmmm greek women
