Terfel Voigt Wray Walküre act III sc 1 (fin) & 2

Terfel's damn good. He has all the notes from low to high, unlike Stewart whose bottom could give out, and unlike Schorr who hadn't a real upper extension even in his prime. Plus Terfel shapes the text with imagination, has an attractive timbre, an affecting mezza voce, and a fiery presence that genuinely embodies the impetuous, "wutende" quality Wotan's very name suggests. We could do a lot worse than Terfel ... and usually have.

Mr. Haegin. I am sorry too that you find my comment on Bryn Terfels performance ignorant. I admit I know practically nothing about past singers of the role (although I have looked up several on Youtube, admittedly not a place to get a good education in past performances), and I have not heard any that, in my mind, are as good as Terfel. Sorry for my preference.

@sartrific Sorry but then you know nothing about Wotan and the great singers that sung that role...
