i remember when Greg Valentine smashed the green IC belt all over the Garden when he lost to Tito Santana. The WWF/WWE used to introduce a new belt by destroying the old at a major event....sometime following the Valentine pummeling of the green IC, they presented Tito Santana with probably the greatest belt in the history of belts...

Don Muraco had to be one of the greatest characters in the sport of wrestling. The Muraco wars vs Pedro Morales, Bob Backlund and Jimmy Snuka were classics.

Muraco was the best heel ever. Bar none. @badguybob, holy crap! I had totally forgotten about that. I was a little kid when that happened. Didn't Muraco hit the Hawaian Hammer, then go take a bite of the sandwich in Lou's hands, then go pin the guy? Hilarious!
