2nd grade level is an insult. My generation had dumbed down schools and yet were light years ahead of today's schools. My mom's generation had much more strick learning and was light years ahead of me. So 2nd grade is an insult, everyday language or the language of the listener will GET a listener. Why broadcast in French if the audience speaks English?

I've had to even confront my parents, who are younger Baby Boomers, about this and why I stopped watching the "news" on cable/satellite, like FoxNews, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, etc. etc.
