15k people of about 1,5M people in the viscinity would be about 1% of the population showing public contempt for nuclear energy. It is a good amount but there needs to be more people on the street support each other openly for a paradigm shift to occur.

japan has been shipping massive amounts of mandarin oranges into canada.not sure if they are safe to eat.being that there are 3 nuclear plants in melt down im not sure if one should eat any food from japan.any thoughts on japanese fruit or veggies...mandarins?
@misterbig290 I only eat fruit and vegetables from the southwest where I live and where I know we didn't get fallout. This is mikan (mandarin orange) season and they are grown all over Japan. If you don't know where in Japan they are from it's best to avoid them (as with ALL Japanese food.) .A lot of food from the northeast is contaminated and still being sold (watch my previous videos for more info.) They might even try to export the crap from the N.E. that locals won't buy ...
An RKB Television helicopter flew over and around the area where the rally was staged for a fair amount of time. I used a telephoto lense to confirm that it was an RKB helicopter. Despite the expense of having this helicopter fly around for so long, it seems that RKB television did not report this event. If anyone knows otherwise then please post a comment.
Excellent video! (as usual) Thank you! There's a media blackout in the US, which makes what you're doing very important! As for the Japanese, the way they act is incomprehensible! They are like cattle unable to take responsibilty as individuals- living in Fukushima, burning radioactive straw & rubble, operating factories in evacuation zone!! When I see individuals I feel sorry for them, when I hear they are exporting food, I feel they don't deserve to..(I can't even say it). Arigato gozaimasu
Thank you! Good to see the Japanese people educating themselves and taking action! Your commentary helped explain their reticence. The Occupy movement is choosing another, valid, needed method. Remember, you are seeing it thru controlled media... it, too is totally nonviolent, totally trash-free and respectful... it is the COPS who are violent, destroying property, showing us the police state we live in. Average people didn't know it, until now. It's raised awareness like nothing else could.
@LibertyBooksAZ I've become aware of how just how media controls opinion by seeing the bullsh!t that is told to the Japanese people and seeing how the media completely did not cover this really big protest (manipulation through omission.) To be honest though, I've been too stressed out by living in Japan to even attempt to follow what is happening in the U.S. Some demonstrators in Fukuoka had a sign that said "we are the 99%" in English which I thought was awesome.
Unfortunately a full peaceful protest would have gone unnoticed and thus ignored In the USA. protest and go home would have gone 100% unnoticed. It took several weeks to get on the main stream news. --- Florida USA
The right to speak and be heard, I feel, is the right of all people. While these rights are stifled, it is the noble cause of all thoughtful people to peacefully exercise this right regardless of the results. Nuclear power is not safe as it is currently implemented. This can be inferred by Chernobyl, Windscale, Fukushima, Three Mile Island, etc, but perhaps we can move forward with fusion.
Thank you so much for doing this! Great work and please keep doing this until major media coverage became for people not for nuclear industry. I will spread this link to many people in the world. Cheers. From NY, One World No Nu

This is how to protest and the funny thing is they gov will sill not do a thing to stop it.
It comes down to money and power till we all that is the 99% all say stop now and start to make this world and better place to live by what we all by and do we will sill just be sheep so WAKE UP WORLD.
I think the quality of your work is great, and it's helping us outside Japan get a good perspective of what's happening there. It seems you became a voluntary alternative media reporter. :)
Often the yakuza are employed by industry to do 'dirty work' like what you witnessed. The yakuza are also said to be involved in the recruiting (and disposal) of homeless people as workers at Fukushima.
@bbqneko I completely would not doubt that. Homeless, Japanese day laborers are exploited in Japan even more than Mexican immigrant day laborers in the U.S.
I hope that the Japanese government is as good as you say .. many times in the West they use these type of events to gather information on "subversives". It is what happens later that matters.
@albertdye1 I'm not sure if I understand your comment, the Japanese government isn't good, it's HORRIBLE. In Japanese culture there is a lot of "power harassment" and intimidation. I wouldn't be surprised if some people associated with this demo aren't being spied on for potential future harassment to try to get them to stop. For example a citizen/blogger in Yokohama who was vocal about contamination there had his family threatened
@AluminumStudios It's sad to hear that Japan is just another right-wing government.
The nuclear industry has far too much power; I have just watched a Wade Allison video in which he "highlights" his belief that radiation is not that harmful ? He believes that the ICRP should classify much higher levels of radiation as safe, and drop the ALARA. If they adopt his limits, a large number of additional people will get cancer, although he is unlikely to be around to answer for it.

@albertdye1 If they adopt his limits, a large number of additional people will get cancer, although he is unlikely to be around to answer for it. He talks like he knows about DNA repair mechanisms but we all know the double-strand breaks caused by ionizing radiation can cause permanent "scars" on a cells DNA and it is these which given time can cause cancer many years down the line. I hope that people don't feed on his mis-information because it tastes good.
@StillNoGuitar Thanks for your comment. I am super-busy and won't be able to develop my film for a few days, but I upload photos to my blog at aluminumstudios [dot] com/blog I will put some there after I get them processed (I shot B&W film which I develop and scan myself.)
You might have felt those yelling Japanese were extreme rightwing. However they never use violence whereas those peaceful demonstrators are orchestrated
by labor unions and extreme leftwing terrorists called Chukakuha who are keen to destroy Japan by any means neccesary including murder. If someone try to join the demonstrators with Japanese flag, he would be beaten. Did you notice that there was no single Japanese flag among those demonstrators but tons of banners of labor unions?
@OsakaChannel I don't think there is meaning in the fact that there was no Japanese flags among the demonstrators. In general Japanese dont wave their flag around as much as Americans do for instance. At a previous demo in May one of these guys had a totally racist sign saying that all Koreans in Japan were criminals and should be returned to Korea. I don't know about he left, but these guys I saw here are QUITE undesirable. Contrasting them with other extremists is not really a defense for them.

Very good video as usual from you William.
From the overview video-clip I would think that there are alot more than 15.000 people there. I would think you could easily double that number.
The anti-nuclear protesters in Japan (and everywhere else in the world) have my support.
