@amacr549 I cant really remember , i sold off that amp some time ago. just a usual bright tone, but i mic'ed it up near the cone's rim with an sm57 , so thats probably where the warmth is from.

Hi , thanks for the comment :-) . Anyway, i prefer fender amps personally, the only reason i got a marshall was because someone was selling it at a good deal (within my budget). Fenders don't have quite enough gain though, so you might need to get an overdrive pedal for extra gain. If you have a powerful enough computer, you could look into some amp modeling software out there also , I'm currently trying out guitar rig 4, works well enough for me and i hardly notice the latency.

this is llot easier then stairway to heaven solo.. this 1 is slow, soothing, and easy to play.. but hard to read the tabs DAMN!

Slower and soothing is not easier, it's quite the contrary. Playing fast is easy, it's just notes being spit away by the guitar. Playing slowly is much harder because you have much more time to note the expression you give (or not) to your playing. And this solo in particular is quite hard to understand for someone without any theory and has a few very hard techniques such as the 'Hendrix bend' (wich was not made in this video).

Not to say Stairway to Heaven is easy, it's very hard to capture the Page-iness in the solo but for my experience the hardest part of that one is the turnaround lick wich not even he could do perfectly. It's very hard to play so that all the notes are understandable and sounding right. The reason everyone says that slow solos are easy is because they can't play fast and tend to forget that expression is the hardest thing about playing guitar. It's what makes us distinguish someone's playing.

Yamaha mw8cx was ok for me . very easy to use, but you cant record from multiple tracks. so i would really suggest spending abit more to get a slightly better interface for more serious recording ... maudio perhaps ?

a certain instrument doesnt make a musician, if your a good musician you can play on anything yes les paul are one of the greatest guitars out there but not everyone has around a 1000 dollars to buy a guitar (i have a squier aswell)

not sure how ur gonna find a $1000 Gibson unless its a studio but u can feel the difference. my Gibson Les Paul feels much better than my friend's Epi. You can also hear the difference when u plug it in. my Gibson really devours the effects and for lack of a better word, maximizes it

i prefer Gibson over anything else. I dont really like ESP's because i feel like im paying a crapload of extra money just for a paintjob. If u look at their models its all just copies of other guitars. they also guarantee that their guitars sound and feel exavtly the same as the originals. they basically admitted that theyre copying and selling for a higher price just because it has a skull or something on it.
