The cost of living is ridiculously expensive in Europe because of insane taxation. Europe has taxes on food? What the hell is that?! They have VAT taxes on just about everything. There is no intellectual movement visible here that would counter socialists or mil.-industrial elite thinking.
There is no Ron Paul, Peter Schiff or so. America is the leading country when it comes to Austrian school-thinking for instance.
We all have to go through a lot of pain, the US is the only country where it is realistic to think of an alternative.
It will take probably decades to relieve ourselves from EU bureaucracy/oligarchy.
