  • thumbs up if u searched hi mom

  • love it, Aaron! (:

    -Brittany

  • Well done Aaron! A good friend of mine, Joe Collins, local dulcimer player and teacher here in Shelby, NC told me to look you up. I'm a fingerstyle guitarist and can certainly appreciate the talent it takes to write something like this. Thanks for sharing.

  • Amazing. I won't let my dulcimers watch this video because they will be disappointed in me after hearing g this! :) Just beautiful.

  • I love this song so much. I've been trying to get something classical on my dulcimer for a bit to play on my electric through some distortion when it gets finished and I think this will be the piece I practice for it. This is gonna sound so metal.

  • @shaowebb Awesome! I've played it on my semi-hollow body dulcimer and really liked it with ample distortion. let me know when you've worked it up. If I can help at all just let me know.

  • I'm having a bit of trouble with the fingerings because I cant always tell when you use your thumb. Do you have a tutorial anywhere to help learn this? If so that would be great. The gear I will be using is a Line 6 pod 2.0 scooped through a british classic amp setting ran through my spider 3 amp scooped as well set to distortion whilst running my korg death metal pedal (also scooped) through the only dulcimer I know of with a dimebucker pickup and an Invader N neck pickup.

    I told you...metal.

  • Saw you last night at Flagler for the Gamble Rogers gig! Outstanding job brah! Too bad you didn't have a CD in the lobby.

  • what the fuck is that still this is awesome=]

  • cool man

  • Wow! I am in awe. How can I go back to playing "Go Tell Aunt Rhodie" after seeing this? I think I'll put my hands in their pockets and my dulcimer on the wall.

    Post more!

  • Very impressive, post more!!!!

  • can you play songs by ear? there's a video game tune from a game called Banjo Kazooie that i'd love to hear on dulcimer. Heck I have Finale Notepad and could write it for you if you wanted.

  • Holy crap! I love that game and also play dulcimer. If you tab that out in finale I would love to get it. Whether tabbed or in standard notation it doesn't matter I could use either.

  • aw sweet i'll see what i can do...

  • Not a space alien - but amazing. I just finished hearing the story about this song and watching him perform this at the Colorado Dulcimer Festival a few short hours ago - tons of fun performance!

  • I really went "WOW!". This can be done on a dulcimer! Really great job, Im serious. You're great man! :D

  • The more I watch this, the more I think - he's a space alien. You'll simply blow the facade' and out the truth on us one day, won't you? Won't you?

  • is that really you? that was awesome

  • Did you tab it out to mock our lack of awesomeness?!! Just kidding! This is phenomenal. Dulcimer not a real instrument, BAH!!!

  • This T O T A L L Y rrroooccckkksss!

  • Absolutely fantastic playing! Thanks for sharing the tune with us.

  • That's cool. How are you tuned?

  • Standard D-A-D tuning but making extensive use out of the 1 1/2, 6 1/2, and the octaves of those extra frets the 8 1/2 and 13 1/2.

  • Would love for you to post more like this!

  • Your mom should be proud. Amazing finger work, and great writing! 5 stars!
