Disney really needs to re-release Song of the South. Nobody I knew except my mom knew that this ride was based off a movie. I didn't even know till about a year ago. I think this ride will make A LOT more sense to people if they just come to their senses and re-release it.

@Yert3579 They won't release it because the live action sequences take place during slavery, and I've seen numerous clips on youtube of it and people commenting on it were saying they were black and they don't find it offensive. You're right, they do need to re-release it!!!! They haven't released it since 1986 and they haven't even released it on vhs yet!!!!

Ha I luv this ride but my brother doesn't seem to. I remember I took him on and I told him a lie in line and the truth once we were on. You couldnt hear anything but STOP THE RIDE PLESE HELP PLESE funny stuff and when we went down the drop he went super low....didn't show up in the picture but when we it off everyone in the lol was laughing lol good tines!

I love love love this ride! This one time, i got out my mirror and lip gloss going up the hill for the final drop, an when doing down the hill, i looked in the mirror and pretended i was putting on lip gloss for the picture it takes. Sounds stupid, but the log I was on with my brother couldn't stop laughing when they saw it. Totally doing it again when i go with my friend in april! ahaha

I absolutely ADORE Disneyland. It's a care-free, happy, creative, and really awesome atmosphere. Splash Mountain is probably the best ride there is. It makes you really nervous, but you know there's nothing to be scared of. I really like the singing animals. Without them, the ride would not be as well done and cool

its werid cuz when i went on this ride i was like 8yrs old and we went to the on in florida and it had straps on it and when it was my b-day i was turing 10 and i went the one here in cali and i wanted to go on this ride so bad but once i went on it im all like O_O where are the straps at and when the drop was coming i was holding on to the handle bars super tight and i was so scared xD but its funny everytime i think of this ride xD lawl

i was there about 2 weeks ago and i stayed in the back (i went single rider so there were only me and two other people way in front, so there was nobody directly behind or in front of me) and i didnt get wet at all!

i love the fact that i can see a full and complete disneyland rides i go once ayear for my kids birthdays and watching them online its the only thing that gets me through the year but i do have to say so much funner when you are there but at least this helps with my "disneyland withdrawls" lol so thanks for having these videos on you tube

i remember when i first went on this when i was a kid the last drop freaked me out i was scared but now that i have gone splash mountain again the last drop really isnt all that bad i have seen bigger drops on different log rides if you want to see a really long log ride drop type in ripsaw falls

you have remember this was a big drop back in the day, but now its nothing compared to the newer flume rides. Ripsaw falls is also very much newer than both version of splash mountain.

Another big difference between the Splash Mountains is the logs themselves. The Disneyland logs are single file logs that hold six people, while the Disney World logs are two abrest and hold eight people.

Actually, the two Splash Mountains have some more differences. I think some of the scenes between the versions are different. Also different are the lands they are in: Disneyland's version lies in a land called Critter Country, but the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World doesn't have this, so thus Splash Mountain there is located in Frontierland. The music however is mostly the same.

When you buy recordable DVD's they give you a clear plastic "DVD" in every pack. I was going to use that to protect the lens but I noticed it was too dirty from the first out door drop. That's what you saw.
