This scene is so powerful, and possibly one of my favorite Meredith and Chief scenes. I like how it shows all of his flashbacks, and the reasons why he's drinking. What with the merger, how he's having to fire people that he values and respects, and Derek constantly reminding him that he's not doing his job, and that he's changed. It's amazing how just one look at Meredith can make him drop the drink and go home. Because he cares about her.
