  • This method is called 3-6-3, it ain't used by Syuhei anymore, now he uses 3-2-2-2-3 edge pairing.

  • @SpeederSolver There's a turorial in my channel subtitled in english explaining this new method. I'll make an english tutorial soon, maximum until 14th march.

  • harris chan?

  • dude what do i do when i have only 2 unmatched pairs left? i try to do the gen pariring methods, the only one im good at is 2-gen and i still somehow get left with 2 unmatched pairs no matter what, that's my only problem with solving it

  • for the last two get them on LF and RF so that it looks mirrored looking at the front, then do Dw R F' U' R' F Dw'

  • nevermind, the U is clockwise. sorry about that

  • does dw mean 2 rows?

  • yep, i've also seen it as (Dd) but i like the w better

  • well i've tried that alg. and with the pairs on differnet faces and directions when i do it, but it always messes up a pair and now i have 3 unmatched pairs instead of 2

  • when you have 2 pairs left you need a certain algorithm to fix that it is Dd R F" U R' F Dd'

  • what cube is that? is that an eastsheen? its so loose

  • well i took mine apart and sprayed wd-40 in the ball, then i soaked a cotton ball in it and wiped all the pieces, it's orgasmically smooth now, smoother than my 3x3 when i did sprayed it down...wd-40 might not be the best but i wasn't goin to waste money on some friken lube on the rubiks website

  • Excellent video tutorial. Only watched it once and I was able to do it without much thinking. Great job.

  • At 4:10 couldn't you have just done U R' instead of R U R' ?

  • i would have messed up the centres

  • Nope, look at the video. You can't mess up the centers...

  • how would you handle cases where the next edge you need is already stuck in your slicing area?

  • i dun get it after paring 3 then? kinda confuse

  • Your voice got deeper :P

  • Or not necessarily 2gen, but 4gen, 6gen, etc.

  • pretty much he does a 3 gen at first. Then he does whatever other gen. I think

  • Just to clarify for everyone. It's is edge pairing, not gen. Gen refers to something completely different. That is the number of faces you turn for an algorithm. For example, an RUF alg like the T perm is 3gen. This edges pairing method is something like 3edges, 6 edges, 3 edges.

  • Yea I figured that out a while ago. I didnt know that when I posted that a while ago.

  • I'm somewhat confused. Isn't this just the "beginner's method" for solving edges, except that you're doing what they call a "2gen?"

  • thanks a lot for explaining syuhei's edge-method! you're doing some good tutorials

  • wtf who's next Erik?

  • oh god whats with all these helpful tutorials from nakaji and harris all of sudden? Is this a giant conspiracy to put me out of business?

just kidding :) good job! this method is what I use to pair up the edges on the 4x4. Easy and intuitive

  • Hahaha lol no1 can put u out of buissness in the 3x3 method, ur the best at explaining that

  • are you kidding? No one can put you out of business.
