Im in the process of building my 78 Cobra II and Ive been told that the 351w is a great fit but due to size, and lack there of under the hood, it makes maintenance on the motor a true headache. Ive never seen a 351w under the hood so Im not sure what to expect. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated. Also, with the added torque how do you prevent the sub-frame from twisting into a pretzel?
@knorwood8709 Hood clearance is an issue depending on what configuration of intake and carb you go with. However as you can see with mine most of us cover it with a scoop of some sort. The Factory Cobra II Scoop will work fine if you cut a hole in the hood under the scoop and use a low profile air cleaner setup. Other issues, Headers - Hard to come by and hard to get to fit. Cooling, factory radiator is too weak. But all in all nothing beats that rumble when you're done. :) Link a vid of yours?
Hi, it's my dad's car that is garaged in AZ. As of today he apparently has a buyer who is picking it up Monday. If, by chance, the sale doesn't go through I will let you know.
You have alot of IIs man, how about being a pale and letting me have one of them? Let me help you free some room in that driveway. In all seriousness nice car.
