It is VERY refreshing to come across a vlog like this, where I see an American state the record plainly. Far too many Americans are quick to believe the nonsense the American media throws at them. When I was visiting the US, I couldn't believe how one sided the US media was.

Have you read Ward Churchill's famous essay, "Some People Push Back: On the Justice of Roosting Chickens"? Ward Churchill is one of my favorite authors and he has written many great books like Agents of Repression. He's the first tenured professor who's actually fired over that article 'cause people misinterpreted that he "condoned" the violence of 9/11 and used the Nazis reference. But, he has valid points and shouldn't be fired for his academic writing.

Your vlog is accurate. The movie was GREAT and I didn't realize that the U.S. used Afghanistan (and provided them with outdated tanks/weapons) to exhaust all the resources used by the USSR, in a way to undermine their power. U.S' exploitation of Afghanistan has a unfortunate consequence which you have described.  Abandoning Afghanistan has the same consequence as other colonized countries that England and France abandoned like Rwanda and Sri Lanka. I agree that the U.S. is responsible for 911

If one reads up the history in Chile (Sept 11 1973 ironically) and the coup in Iran, one can see how we screwed up other countries' political affairs.

This and the Banana Wars, Phillipines occupation, etc etc clearly shows why the US government is pretty much hated around the globe.

Usually I like your vlogs but this one, it was disturbing to hear what you had to say. And that it was our fault.

War is always expensive. How can we foresee when to stop or continue. Right now, we are debating if we should stop war in Iraq.

If it was our fault, they still should not do it "eye for eye" punishment. At least, they should communicate with us and let us know instead of attacking us.

We already won the war in Iraq but we must remain in Iraq for decades or it will disintegrate like Afghanistan did in 1970s. Germany is now one of these fabulous nations in the world, thanks to US, GB, France & Russia for nurturing it back to health. The USA abandoned Afghanistan in early '80s and the result is the 9/11 fiasco.

They already "communicated" with us many times -- we simply chose not to listen nor hear.

Well...by Bin Laden's account, US foreign policies in the middle east, in particular its support of Israel was the main reason why they attacked us. It had little do with Afghanistan.

No, DeafUSA9, the issue with Israel is very common. It is one of common wedges held by al Qaeda -- I do not care about the attacks -- I care about how it started, facilitated and carried over for DECADES. Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan has facilitated the anti-americanism feelings since '60s and we failed to nip the tuck in time.

And the fact is that Al-Qaeda and the Taliban will band together to fight a common enemy in Afghanistan, but otherwise tolerate each others presence. There is little love lost between them.

Actually, it was Al-Qaeda who attacked WTC, not the Taliban. Al-Qaeda fighters in Afghanistan came from Saudi Arabia, Chechnya, North Africa, Europe, the U.S., Australia, the Middle East, South Asia, Russia and China. They took up arms under orders from al Qaeda leaders (none of them were Taliban) and fought against the U.S and its alliance.

Jesus Christ -- Al Qaeda is composed of Muslim extremists who found the SAFE HAVEN in AFGHANISTAN with the blessings of TALIBAN. Please do not bother to nitpick the details. The truth is that Taliban sheltered Al Qaeda members, therefore they are terrorists no matter what.

This is just a prelude of even worse things to come in the foreseeable future. The drama behind 9/11 pales in comparison to capabilities of North Korea and other countries including the U.S. with right-wing extremists (conservatives and the Sorensons. This is same as the deaf community falling apart. Many were warned. The Deaf side didn't clean up their act as necessary to dignify arguments against AGBELL types. The whole 9/11 mess was a drill. Hang on to your tiara when real shit hits the fan.
