I have yet to meet someone who wanted to be unemployed, or enjoyed being unemployed if it happened. But it is also cultural as to how we look at things. I pay close to 45% income tax and I don't see it as paying for other people. I see it as the cost of living in such a great country and having a great life.

When I go to her school to help out most of the kids have better name brand cloths and shoes than I buy for myself. When the parents come to pick them up a lot of them drive VERY nice cars. Most have parents that aren't married because they will get less money from the government.

@jallison79 I wonder too. I can only see what I see when I go to her school. I see that she pays for supplies out of her pocket. I see that she pays for technology for her students so that they have the same things that more "well off" schools get. Also she is the only science teacher left in her school district and she retires this year.
There are people who are horrible at their jobs in every field and the reason why unions shouldn't allow for those bad teachers to keep their jobs.

If you consider the fact that most other countries corporate tax rate is closer to 15% how do we expect any of these corporations to keep their companies in the USA if they are forced to pay 10% more to do business here? Most small business that are an LLC or INC pay corporate tax's. Most small business's are owned by the middle class.

If the democrats held their ground on- literally anything, the center can't move and by holding fast the fact the republicans are running further right while democrats ask for the same things will be highlighted ten fold.
I doubt it's unintentional. Dems give up 50-75% of the ground before any negotiations begin so often, they are complicit.
