  • Has anyone been flying on United Airlines before.

  • yuppies are awesome!

  • Newark Airport : )

  • Only united could make a traveling business couple french between gates 1 and 2, before parting ways...

  • Didn't they just make a movie based on this plot.

  • And the guy i think is edward herrmann... the grandfather on gilmore girls

  • I think the woman is Priscilla Lopez, the original Diana in A Chorus Line

  • what the hell was the ending bit about

  • WTF is wrong at the end

  • And that's an L-1011 at Gate 2. You only see it for a split-second, but it's definitely the L-1011.

  • Comment removed

  • @heytallguy14 the L-1011 was a great airplane, but it sure looked funky as hell compared to the DC-10 :P

  • Judy........, Martin...... Book a later flight, get a room at some local dive motel and fuck like beasts.

  • what, how is making out park of flying?!

  • Dear All,

I have some humble question about psychology and sociology:

    *Why do we love flying?

**How could we define the magic of flying?

*How could the magic of flying related to American Dream or American Way of Life"? (This is the believe in 60's to 80's)

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorms!!! :)

  • It seems like they are going to have buttsex, lol. You can make out like that in a terminal....

  • Judith and Martin break guitars!

  • I thought it was Clark Kent and Lois Lane!

  • what just happend?

  • It is EWR- I was based there for a long time and the hallway they walk out on is Newark,N.J. not IAD. Plus the automatic doors- the way they are placed and the fixtures on the posts...

  • The guy reminds me of Dan Akroyd's character from the movie "Trading places"

  • Thank you; I'm glad I'm not the only person who thinks that. Maybe United and its ad agency were trying to play off of his character.

  • The couple remind me of Frasier and Lilith from "Cheers"

  • At the end is scary

  • the two of them kinda remind me of marcy d'arcy and steve rhoades from married with children :p

  • Look at those stupid ass glasses

  • it's the 80s

  • @londonclub777

Even in the 80's those were considered nerdy - I'm pretty sure that's why it's part of the act of two nerds making out.

  • I agree, that's Newark airport.

If you've ever been to EWR, you know that ceiling. It's distinctive.

  • Well duh...IAD is a united hub, but you have to look at the ceiling to realize that its EWR. IAD might have very similar looking ticket counters, but IAD has a flat ceiling structure as opposed to what is shown in the ad, which is more cathedral looking.

  • Wow! Thats Newark Airport! It's sad how much they've downgraded service there.

  • No. It's Dulles in Virginia. It's been one of United's biggest hubs for quite a while.

  • I agree...I was just there...it looks exactly the same, with signage changes.

  • Lovin the crazy wife swap woman at the end!

  • Thanks she really is awesome

  • @speakeasy365 that crazy woman seen after the commercial is from 'Trading Spouse'.

  • That IS corny... I can't decide which one's cornier: this commercial, or "1982 United Airlines Commercial" featuring Nancy on her first day.

  • I KNOW! but .. i was born in the 90s so i never got see anything like this .. wish i could've :(

  • Wow...The only thing that has changed at Dulles since then is United's logo. Literally everything from the desks to the doors are the same. While I don't fly to/from there often, I connect at Dulles at least four or five times a year. It's a nice airport.
