@vboytan The 350Z is sloooooow, I took it for a test drive and it is so boring. It may have a lot power on the paper but it isn't very good at putting it down on the road. I went with a Rx7 and I love it! The power from the rotary is instant and smooth and it weighs a lot less than the Nissan.

@Lukeentertainment well that's cause you got and rx7. The renesis rotary in the rx8 isn't anything like the 13b rotaries in the rx7's specially 13B rew in the FD. I would rather take the VQ in the 350 over any rotary any day unless that rotary is the 13b rew in an fd. Also i don't really care if the 350 is slower than the rx7 which i knew it was but I don't wanna fidle with rotaries. Their so tempermental

@vboytan No not at all, you misunderstood me, I'm not trying to brag about my car. I was going to buy a 2 seater sport car and I test drove it, and the 350 is heavy, expensive to work on, unresponsive and a bitch in most ways. Which is weird because the 300ZX (my previous car) and the 370Z (my friends car) are both great, the 350 was kinda the bastard middle child. You'll find that if treated properly a rotary engine is cheaper and more reliable than the Nissan V6. Just trying to help that's all

@lmwandrew - I used a clutch kick(what I call it). I go into the corner about 45mph, towards the top of 2nd gear, stab the clutch while on the gas which breaks the tires loose, then you're sliding away. It really snaps it sideways, unlike powering over. I've never been one to use the e-brake.

I watched this when I 1st got my rx8 and thought it was incredibly hard. After getting used to the RX8 it doesn't seem as hard. The handling on those mazdas is practically telepathic. I wish I had a long enough smooth corner like that around. I love prolonging a power slide until the last possible second in the few sweepers I have around here. The RX8 is so well balanced it really does inspire that sort of confidence! Nice drift

I have to say: soooo nice, perfect control. I'm gonna buy one RX8 '04 for myself this summer and I hope I will learn how to control it atleast 50% like you can. You told us that you are not using hand brake, just clutch kicking. So it is powerfull enough to put it into drift like this on 2nd gear just using power? and then you are controling it with clutch and power? If you can give me here some advise I will appreciate it :)

yeah it was, i enter at about 40 or so, i think(not really looking at the gauges). i used to power over, but the night before, i tried clutch kicking it, and its much easier to get sideways. i never use the e-brake. i wish i knew what advice to give, but all i can tell you is what i do. good luck man! get a video, maybe people can help.
