  • Wha' "corny accent" is tha' then, toobrak?

SvenskPiper speaks wi' ma own authentic Clan Johnstone lingo.

An' he's altogether grand on the pipes, to boot!

He on'y uses a chanter to cater to the overly-unenlightened :)

  • it's a good thing to learn by ear....since theres no sheet music to go with

    a cool chune like this...

Mr. werner should make a demo of personal comps...

    curious to see the variations....

  • Terrrluck? lol

  • sounds pretty cool!

could you maybe send me the sheet music by

    e-mail?

    thanks!

  • Yeah I'd have to agree, your conrny accents real frikken annoying, but apart from that your playing is pretty damn good

  • drop the accent dude... your good at pipes.. your accent sucks!

  • I agree lol.

  • would sound way better if you stayed on e ate the end of each part instead of low a

  • maybe you can write a song that ends in e then...this one sounds fine just as it is!

  • A really good idea, word it differently so you don't sound like such a prick though. . .

  • can yuo show me a dubel high g and f dubling pls

  • haha, ur legit at the bagpipes and my friends and i saw you one time at monte vista chapel playing the bag pipes and we talked to you for a bit

  • Yes I do remember you three... sorry if at the time I seemed like "shooed" you guys away from me. I believe I said something like "ok, guys, I'm through for the day" - afterwards I wondered to myself if that sounded too much like "ok, guys, get lost" - you all had questions about the instrument and I meant that when I "was done" that I wouldn't be playing any more due to exhaustion - but I would have still answered questions/talked for a wee bit more. Sorry if there was any confusion ;o)

  • Great vid. Love the sound. I lived in Turlock most of my life but I have to say it must be having a much better effect on you.I moved after living there 21 years and have not looked back. Next stop...Washington's olympic mountains! Keep up the wonderful music!

  • great composition!

  • Ian werner.....

i put some drum tracks over your turlock effect..i play a chanter also, but not nearly as good as you man. i play guitar and drums...not pipe drums...regular drums.watching you play has inspired me to start practicing again.

i really like how you played "stevies first bar"...since my name is steve,i want to learn it so bad...may i ask why you are in cali??

school? for what? im a scuba diver and ghost hunter.

you seem cool enough to want to know about your fans?

    :o)

  • i tried replying to your other message you sent the other day - but you have to add me as a friend for it to go thru... i saved the body of the text in a txt file on my desktop, so add me and i will try to resend :)

    thanks for the compliments :)

  • @KYPCKDIVER what do you mean regular drums, pipe band snare drums, and drum sets and all other types of drums are regular. Why dont you just say i play drum set, not regular drums

  • why dont you put a video of yourself playing actual bagpipes instead of a practise chanter? I would like to see if you can still play as well on the actual bagpipes.

  • i would love to... ok, i have had enough people tell me that i should, so look for one very soon

  • he's a wonder, of course he can play as good !

  • oh sorry about 3rd and 4th.

Yeh he plays it very fast.

Anyways i love both so well done on composing it.

  • this almost exactly the same as mallaig ferry!Coincidence or copy i don't know.

  • admittely the first two parts hold some resemblence... but the 3rd and 4th parts are not even close... and if one listens to how mike grey (the composer) plays mallaig ferry, say, on that "evening of chaqmpions" cd, his expression and flow of the tune are very much different. and honestly, the first two parts used to be my personal tuning phrase before I ever heard grey's tune

  • hey do you wanna send me the music for this tune???

  • 2pojkar!!!!!!! I LOVED ur hornpipes :)

  • The chanter is an old blackwood Hardie... probably older than the guy playing it (which is me) ... it cant be THAT old however, because the "ivory" sole (delrin, right?) has turned yellow over the past few years... I bought the thing for $145 in San Francisco at the "(?Scottish) Tartan Shoppe" in like 1996
