my volkswagen just fucked up yesterday on one cylinder..a peice of the carb. came off and went into the cylinder..so its only running off 3 cylinders now and making noise

Thats not hard to fix. You can remove the cylinders individually on air cooled bugs. Could have it done in like 30 mins. unless the piston needs to be replaced also, then you need to crack the block open.

@knightterror66 I used a plastic Army man (member those kids toys?) to repair a broken throttle cable for like a week!!!LOL U can repair or leave a Bug broken and it will still run like champ! U should see what else u can do to it before it just completely stops running !

some years ago, your engine of the beetle got stolen :D

really you can see that its so easy to remove it, so if your engine got stolen you had to push your car home xD

this is i germany, we drove it to belgium. the engine just fucked up. we had to put it apart on the sidewalk. people called the police. in the end a guy came and sold us a engine, 50€.

That's the one thing about VW's, they are so light a few people can pick them up. I'm used to working on American V8 cars, you put it on jackstands and try to shake it to make sure it's secure. I had a 61 beetle I put on jackstands and started shaking it, the damn thing almost came off the jackstands.
