ben i am wondering would this be a better selection for a female that already has a rc-300 as opposed to the gt-10 or 10-b does this replace most of the effects that are in the gt-10 or is it just a smaller simplified more portable unit,,also how do strings sound through it? ..and as far as being female do u think there would be better chice of gt-10 than gt-10b (for live performance strings beatboxing and imogene heap type vocals?

@MARKLStudios you just get any music/jack cables, then get a cable going out of the pedal then into your amp or speakers. a goood mic is Shure SM58. you do have to buy the cables yourself yes, but when you buy this pedal you can ring up and see wheres the best place to get all this stuff,

@MARKLStudios just in case you didn't know mate , although he maybe also uses this one live (I dunno), the main looper he uses is the boss rc 50 : 3 loop channels - mulltilayer on each . loopwise i think it is much more flexible than this one, & although it doesn't harmonise like this one, if u can sing in harmony anyway you can build up layers like he does, in real time rather than effected harmonies like this. I'm not criticising this one, but think the other more flexible.hope this is useful

Nice video. I like Roland/Boss products. After owning a bit of gear I notice that much of it is reused. If you buy a VS-recorder and VS8f-2 or 3 you get all of these VE-20 effects and settings(also the RE-20). Similarly, a V-synth XT (or VSynth w/ VC2) you get all the same effects as well. You can find VS-2000 digital recorders for US$450.

I was wondering how Dub configured the third sound he records on the loop(after the bass), I've seen he using the same effect on other videos, but I could never reach the same sound, could you help me? @paulobarrosvocal At first I thought he had to be using another fx processor to get that but then I realized the third sound sounds like the robot sound tweaked a bit with some reverb and delay mixed in. The "robot" sound is kind of like a vocoder style preset rather than an auto-tune/pitch correct. As long as you've got everything in the right key in your presets and sing in the right key you can get some great harmonies like he's got going here. DubFX you are a talent.
Is there any way to change the presets using the foot switches instead of the dial? I want to use this in a live setting and would prefer not to have to bend down to switch presets for every song.
I got the pedal, and can do a lot for the money. I think it is just a matter of this man knows what hes doing, not so much about patches. Could be done by him with any other loop pedal.

My VE 20 won't save the fact that I change the harmony pedal to Pitch correction, and it just switches back when ever I change anything else such as the effect I choose or turn it off. I'm following the instructions exactly. So it won't stay in the mode where pitch corrector is on the pedal. what's going on?

Yes ... read the back .. it has some short cuts on "How To"
Long story short ... hold the right pedal (Harmony Pedal) for two seconds.
The patch number with flash .. you can now use left for down and right for up scrolling
To disengauge simply hold right pedal for 2 secs again
