Look closely as Pat was gonna give it a 2nd spin, but edited out

  • @Peachfanclub Yes, that's what happened

Can I have the 30 seconds of my life back now?

  • ROFL I see it. The Bankruptcy Thing isn't even on screen when he zooms, But before he zooms, It is RIGHT next to the one he's by.

  • Not really?!

  • There isn't an error here. They add 1,000 to whatever they spin now. They've been doing this for awhile.

  • That also happened in the Philippino version of wheel. It landed on Power, then on P15,000.

  • It is more that when you edit together shots, you do what is called a 'split edit' where the voice for one video track is taken over the top of another video clip over an edit. It would be more the fact that they have done this which is why the wheel will jump but the voice remains uncut - it makes life easier than editing to voice and video. I don't believe anything dodgy has gone on, it is just a bad edit that the editor thought no one would pick up on :)

  • I don't get it.

  • it is very awkward, but necessary. Since the new puzzleboard, puzzle edits are rare. This gives the guys in the production booth something to do.

  • I can't pick up on it...

  • Look, it totally lands on lose a turn, but then he lands on a different one. To see this easier, watch where the $5,000 space is before it zooms in, then where it is when it zooms in

  • oh what! haha good catch

  • Yes. He did land on on lose a turn. But, the host gave another spin to land on a dollar amount. You did not see him spin again. They stopped the tape & record again.

  • they never stop the tape to do a reshot. they simply keep roling and tape every second of the show. then they edit it in a small room to make the 30 minute show. every second counts. even 5 secs can make a huge difference in a show.

  • Yeah, I know it's dead now due to timing issues, but I loved it back in the day when they would actually show Pat landing on Lose A Turn or Bankrupt (sometimes even playing the sound effect) during the final spin!

  • yeah

  • I know what you're saying. They haven't always done it. They started doing this a few years ago. If Pat were to land on a prize or penalty space (like he did on Lose a Turn), they edit that part out before broadcasting the show. That's why I know it looks awkward.
