The current LMRP Cap is not working. Two thirds of the oil is still escaping into the Gulf. The sooner we recognize the failure the sooner we can move on to a better solution. There should be dozens of LMRP Cap designs in process with the best designs being candidates for consideration as a replacement. I can’t understand why we are waiting. If BP had a solution they would have the well sealed by now.

The problem is peak oil production is here now. America has to drill like many other country`s to keep up with demand . In my opinion major oil company`s and governments are to blame for the mess were in. If America can build an atomic bomb & send a man to the moon it can find a cheap safe source for energy. Until that day comes we need more oil to run the world. The other major problem is the amount of oil used in plastic`s, fiber, ect.

We can't run Airlines off of Pixie dust and we need oil for clothing, plastics and tons of other things not to mention lubricating our machinery, electric cars and so forth. Where are all of those Nuclear Power plants Obama was suddenly FOR when his ratings started taking a plunge? Only ONE has been given the go ahead as far as I know.

Solar, wind, geothermal, wave energy, and stuff yet to be discovered. They need to clean this mess up as fast as they can then let the finger pointing begin. Nashville was hit hard by flooding and the Gulf is a giant oil slick but the Government only wants to play finger pointing instead of getting anything done. Our troops are still in Haiti when we have natural disasters to deal with here.

It's not that it cant be reproduce, it's the damn corrupt government we have that it's being lobbied by oil executives.
However, at the end, it's our decision. If we create demand for fuel efficient cars, oil will eventually be replaced for all other uses.

In my opinion major oil company`s and governments are to blame for the mess were in. If America can build an atomic bomb & send a man to the moon it can find a cheap safe source for energy. Until that day comes we need more oil to run the world. The other major problem is the amount of oil used in plastic`s, fiber, ect.

And now a short history lesson: 3 mile Island basically killed nuclear (green) energy in this country for 30 years. Liberal model France is like 80% nuclear. Do we need the electricity? Yep.
