You are not interested in debate...

I am not sympathizing nor am I claiming he is innocent...

What I'm saying is that maybe "innocent until proven guilty" should not be dismissed so casually.

You say he was a threat? According to who? Are we judging people based on what they "might" do? If there is proof that he was guilty of a violent act, he could have been tried in absentia... Pronounced guilty by the jury, and then executed. Is that too much to ask?

  • @TheGUARDIANMEDIC we know for a fact that he has been recruiting people in my home city of minneapolis, according to their family members here. we know for a fact that he was behind the infamous underwear bomber incident, according to objective investigators. maybe we could have captured him, but then we would have had to put many of our own people's lives in danger. not worth it, in my opinion. if we hadn't stopped him, he would've continued to recruit radicalized individuals from the US

I'm sorry, but since it's going to be me and my brothers and sisters who are going to have to fight and maybe die when we get sent to Yemen next, I think I do have a place in this conversation...

Maybe it was his career, maybe it wasn't... Maybe his family was held hostage so he had to say those things in front of the camera, like PFC Bergdahl... We will never know... Because even after he is dead, the president won't release any of the proof that he was guilty.

    I swore to

  • @TheGUARDIANMEDIC well i appreciate your service, but i honestly am just not interested debating with someone who sympathizes with a man who most assuredly was a threat

  • Wow, What a surprise, he went relatively easy on Obama. Why isn't the left cryin "war criminal" like they did with Bush/Cheney? All Bush did was authorize waterboarding of a foreign combatant to get information. Obama authorized the KILLING of an American citizen without the benefit of due process. Should'nt the left be calling for indictments and prosecutions of Obama/Biden like they did Bush/Cheney? Or does he get yet another pass? I think he did the right thing. I'm just saying....

  • You ride with Al-Qaeda ,You get death.

  • Further PROOF that our Government is run by Anarchist Traitors, now their CIA asset can no longer be considered a "Liability" by telling what he knows. For years they have kept their personal assassinations, their "Dirty Little Secrets" Now they stand around and gloat about it, ARROGANCE. "The Boiling Frog". This is how it starts people, at least there are a few REAL PATRIOTS who have the BALLS to stand up and say something.

  • 1:29 Rick Perry sounds as retarded as Bush

  • Obama has conferred upon himself the powers of a dictator - to murder American citizens by Presidential decree.

  • If you give up freedom for security, you deserve neither and lose both.

  • Thank God he's dead. Obama saved American lives.

  • @Rodney92

I wonder how many will be killed in the future because of this "act".

  • Good intelligent discussion not ignoring the truth and raising the important issues. I am glad the media is not ignoring this slippery slope. Intelligent discussions like this make all the GOP candidates with exception of Ron Paul look like fools.

  • Scahill can now be seen as a treath to America and an Al Qaeda supporter by Homeland Security:should he be targeted as a supporter for terrorism? "either you're with us, or you're with the terrorists"

  • Who will psychopath Obummer decide to assassinate next?

    The Occupy Wall Street protestors?

    The librarian?

And clowns such as Gingrich, Romney, and Perry endorse this despicable act that abrogates the 5th Amendment.

    Unbelievable!

    Ron Paul, 2012!

  • you know whats ironic about this whole thing, in the end when he said "but when we kill innocent people their families and many generations after that will be fighting to avenge those deaths... " didn't USA attack Iraq/Afghan after 9/11 in order to avenge the ~3000 American deaths? Isn't that essentially the same thing!?!??!

  • So when he does something *right*, we get mad at him. Typical. Where's all the outcry about Troy Davis being lynched, ahem, i mean 'executed' for a crime he didn't commit by the state? oh right, it doesn't matter if the criticism works in *favor* of black and brown peoples. Ya'll need to take your trifling idiotic double-standard logic elsewhere. Shit!

  • @NwZ2 troy david shot someone the same day that he was accused of murder.

  • OBAMA IS A COLDBLOODED KILLER AND HE THINKS HE IS GOD

  • @TheDenker64 lol So is our Government too lol. So what makes one better then the Other in your mind that you probably support one and not the other. Drink your Kool-aid

  • @Budvb I believe in peace.

  • @TheDenker64 as do i but must communicate and not name call each other to have that happen so all sides can work something out together, then peace begins.

  • The ultimate test of loyalty to the constitution is when you are asked to apply it to your worst enemy, it appears most people have no loyalty whatsoever to the constitution. This is the ultimate test.

  • Google building 7

  • this dude filling in fore Keith is annoying

  • The jump and u say how high, ur fkn dead u gotta fkn bullet in the head. Dance sheeple americans to the symphony of destruction

  • I will always remember the day this happened. I will always remember the silence of my countrymen, by and large. It's the day our country died.

  • That says it all for me, if Rick Perry says it is ok…..then it is 100% wrong!

  • wasnt he dead in 2009?

  • hey. if the can off this dude why not off the mob bosses in chicago or new york...off some druggies on the corner of 5th and broadway....just label then terroists and walabing...dead by drone....

    the republic is dead...

  • Could this be a precedent of things in the near future if a radical right wing comes to gov? Getting rid of enemies or people who may think differently inside or outside the country. It is big business for the military establishment.

  • @davidperi No

  • This jack knob reporter said "In 2001 he told the press this about the Iraq War". I am pretty sure we didn't go to war in Iraq till 2003.

  • He's a US citizen but he looks just like your typical sand nigger so... it's ok for a bro (Obama) to waste his ass cause if you don't look like an American you are at risk of assassination by the prez.. You go bro.

  • America is number one at murder via proxy

  • @vinmorin naw, they play Chinese rules. Execute you, charge your family for the bullets...

  • @vinmorin They're already using drones in Miami & Rick Perry wants to use them in Texas, the drones, the body scanners, the sound cannons, THIS IS A PRISON PLANET!

  • @vinmorin I'm putting my money on Lady Gaga. Her music is terrible.

  • GOP Hopeful? FML

  • who cares if he was an american citizen or not? terrorists are terrorists

  • @BeginsWithTheEnd

He was never convicted or even charged with a crime, he was an American citizen.

Are you saying the gov should not even follow it's own laws?

  • @RyanR3volution this is different. he was aiding the enemy. if it's illegal to kill traitors who join the enemy, maybe the laws should be changed

  • @BeginsWithTheEnd

No this was not different, he was a american citizen never even convicted of a crime, the gov has no right to kill someone just because they think they were a bad, even Timothy Mcveigh had a day in court, even Nazi war criminals.

  • @RyanR3volution you make it sound like we're not sure what he did or if he actually did it. technically what we did was legal because of a new law we passed after 9/11... so i don't feel sorry for the guy, he had it coming

  • @BeginsWithTheEnd

Everyone deserves a day in court, seriously, if you think that "to get the bad guys, we need to give up rights" is the answer, it is not, it is the exact problem.

    "feel sorry"

Doesn't matter if you feel sorry for him or not.

If the gov does not follow their own laws, why should we?

  • @RyanR3volution you just ignored what i said though, when i said we passed a new law after 9/11 that would make this legal

  • @BeginsWithTheEnd

    What?

No they did not, they did not pass a law that would violate the rights of Americans, so that they could be assasinated without duo process, that is unconstitutional, so even if they did (which they did not) it is unconstitutional therefore not a law.

  • @RyanR3volution yes, they passed it only days after 9/11. how is it unconstitutional? exactly what words of the constitution forbid the government from eliminating citizens who wage war on their own country? we're talking about war, and he was hiding in another country. if he wanted a day in court, he could've flew back to the US. also, constitutionality itself doesn't determine if something is a law, it just gives grounds for repeal. we have all kinds of unconstitutional laws that are in effect

  • @BeginsWithTheEnd

The Constitution restrains gov, all the powers that are granted in the Constitution are written there, anything not written is left up to the states. You have a incorrect view of the reading of the Constitution.

The gov has no more rights than the people, so they do not have the right to kill people without a trial.

Even Nazi war criminals were given a trial, this guy was in a car when he was killed, not firing a weapon at anyone.

  • @RyanR3volution you missed the point. there are all kinds of unconstitutional laws in effect, such as the warrantless wiretapping, and constant intermingling of religion and government. anyway, you failed to mention which part of the constitution forbids the government from neutralizing citizens who commit acts of war against their own country

  • @BeginsWithTheEnd

Article 3, section 3 of the Constitution states that "Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason"

He was in car driving... no overt act.

  • @TheGUARDIANMEDIC ha ha ha ha. maybe that was what he was doing at the time he was killed, but aiding the enemy was his career. if you are going to deny this, you have no place in this conversation

  • @BeginsWithTheEnd

No, you're analysis is completely wrong.

The ratifying of the Constitution during the conventions made it very clear that the constitution was a forbiding document on the gov, it laid out the powers of gov and those not mentioned were left to the states to decide.

Honestly, if you think that is the correct reading of the Constiuttion, you think the gov can just create it's own powers.

    Nonsense

  • @RyanR3volution you still either don't understand what i'm saying or are just ignoring it, so you can take your conceited attitude somewhere else

  • @BeginsWithTheEnd

What you said about "where in the Constitution does it say that they cannot"

dismisses everything that the foundation of this country stood for, limited gov.

The Constiuttion was ratified with concern of big gov like under the Brits, the states were promised that the Bill of Rights and the Constitution would limit gov and leave us alone.

    You are blatantly ignoring that.

  • @RyanR3volution you're bringing "big government/little government" into this? that has nothing to do with what we're talking about

  • @BeginsWithTheEnd

    ?

    what?

You said "where in the Constitution does it say we cannot..."

Which is the anti-theisis to what this country was founded on, so both legally and morally you are wrong.

  • @RyanR3volution just keep spewing nonsense. we're not talking about the "size" of government, we're talking about what's right and wrong. stop the unnecessary convolution. i'm wrong because i would like to stop people from my city being recruited by this man? i think you're wrong for pulling talking points out of your ass and just believing whatever ron paul says, at-least that's what i think you're doing. the man's value as a target exceeded the worth of risk to capture him first

  • this anchor is really bad. first of all, his opening statements are opinions, not facts. secondly, his reading off the TelePrompter is painful to not only listen to but watch. who put him in that chair?? he's really, really bad... Sorry, just sayin'...

  • It's good to have a real journalist like Scahill around to counterbalance all the shit MSM haphazardly throws about sometimes.

  • @BoycottTheSettlers Al-CIA-Duh!

  • END THE FED

  • Aw fuck it. Let's just wise up and accept that The Eye In The Sky can strike anyone down at any second for any reason or no reason, terrorist, jihadi, propagandist, overseas or here, sleeper cell, or peaceful law-abiding civilian. BUT, we citizens should all have the right pack SAMs. It just wouldn't be right to be greased in our own cities with no recourse at all.

    Wild west, here we come.

  • OBAMA SPEAK NICE AND SOFT " BUT " HE'S GOT ONE BIG ASS STICK "

  • Everyone donate to the End of the Quarter Push right now!! This is the LAST DAY (Sept. 30) to donate. Every candidate must file a quarterly campaign fundraising report soon. Let's surprise Dr. Paul with bigger totals than he probably expects!

The media always stresses the importance of having good EOQ funds. It makes a candidate more viable to big donors

Ron has said through emails that he needs the money NOW in order to launch his new $2.5 million ad campaign

    ronpaul2012[dot]com

  • @FreedomPeace1 you could also burn your money... or better: donate it to CHARITY, help feed a kid, the poor, or pay for medicinal bills of people with no insurance!

instead YOU want to donate money to Ron Paul - clown of the earth... honestly, how could anyone in the right mind support him?!

apart freom his stands on war and drugs, he is just plain and simply crazy! stop social-security, medicare, medicaid and unemployment benefits? seriously?!?

you have to be CRUEL AND an IDIOT to want this

  • @m0rbusPolytox

You act like he wants to abolish those things instantly. That is not true. We have found that Social Security is not sustainable (if you have to change it, that is not sustainability). Anyone that wants to stay on Social Security and anyone who has paid into Social Security would be allowed to. There would be a transition period for those who want to opt out to do so as well. Don't you want to keep your own money? I do.

  • @dnaak you listen to too many lies my friend! social-security IS sustainable for the next 32 years! atm it has a 3.5 BILLION $ SURPLUS, no matter what republicans want to tell you!

and to sustain it for the next 95 years, all you have to do is end the cap on incomes above (i believe it was) 160000$

as for the deficit: return to the tax-rates of the clinton years (booming economy, remember?) and the budget will be ballanced in only 2015!

surprised? go ask an economist who's NOT far-right (~90%)

  • @m0rbusPolytox You are a fucking parasite baboon. You anal nutbag, who needs to be stuck with a spear in your ass. You bastard, baboon asshole shit eating piss drinking shitbag.

  • @nittgritt i speak with a sophisticated man, i see....

(in "your" language: eat shit and die, illiterate bastard!)

  • @m0rbusPolytox Yes seriously, you parasitic baboon. I really wish people like you who mooch on others should die a horrible painful death. Yes, seriously...you shud die, you fucker, asshole, bastard, fuckwitted money baboon, pig , shit eating fucker, bastard, bastard, bastard.

  • @nittgritt wow, what a nice demonstration of what a decent human being you are... NOT!

i wish you some illness (like i have) that handicaps you. i want to see how loud you'd cry about the "moochers" when you yourself can't work anymore with your disability. jesus would surely like your attitude! greed and antisocial, inhumane behaviour -like yours- brings any society down!

thank god i am european-where people aren't as petty-minded as you, jerk! we help those in need and receive help if needed

  • As a non-interventionist, I'm not gonna cry for any fucking fundamentalist shit that directly inspired nutcases to murder people. He got droned, hard, good.

  • @snipzor

Why do you confuse being pist that the gov does not even follow it's own laws and sympathy with him?

  • @RyanR3volution When it comes to something like this, I'll make an exception. And let's not make this a slippery slope argument, what happened wasn't new. Nor was it action against Yemen, they approved of this action.

  • @snipzor

    ?

These are undeclared wars and inspiring blowback, the gov in Yemen is a dicatorship and a US pawn of course they would approve it.

Non-interventionist? Give me a fucking break you hipster.

  • @RyanR3volution This is an undeclared war? On what, people who inspire or cause worldwide damage? Or on nations? What happened today (yesterday) wasn't a declaration of war, dipshit. It was a response of nations around the world wanting this guy dead, and Yemen declaring they don't give a shit if someone kills this guy because he's a menace.

Seriously, interventionism is all about nation vs nation, or nation vs threat to unrelated nations. Not nation vs cunts who cause international damage.

  • @snipzor

WTF are you talking about bro? The US gov is in a illegal undeclared war in 5-6 different countries, violating borders and intervening where we do not belong, inspiring terrorism while destroying wealth at home.

The Yemenese gov is a dictatorship that represses it's people, they are pawns for the US strategic interests.

    BULLSHIT

The US has no right to go around the world and treat it like it's sandbox because it dislikes people inside, those countries.

    Hipster LULZ

  • @RyanR3volution Name those 5-6 countries. Afghanistan, Iraq. Name the others. Go on. Name them. Oh yea, you can't, because you can't escape your hyperbolic retardation.

Oh, speaking of how Yemen routinely represses its people, how should that be dealt with. Intervention? Ha!

  • I can't wait till these chickens come home to roost.

    Good riddance U$A

  • When you got republicans thanking you, you know you fucked up.

  • W.W.J.D.?

  • @csnowutube Indeed.

  • justice? huh? what does that mean?
