It was people like Chris when I was growing up that inspired me to get into science and design when I grew up - seems far too few people doing that now these days - hats off to the Geek Group.
Watching that kids face made me cry a little to see how happy he got, and I'm not ashamed of it. You're right, that reaction is payment enough and it's a great feeling. He's hooked for life.
Hahaha, it reminds me of my friends at high school when I bring my tesla coil, Ok the streamers are "only" 20inches long but they're always amazed to see lightning from so close :D (and let's face it, it gives me some good reasons to get better marks in physics :P )
I liked the little speeches Chris used to do about how the geek group donations work better than that new cartoon that you guys play. The dull, green-grey colors, and drowsy, unenthusiastic voice - all I hear is "I'm getting payed to narrate an advertisement to ask you to give us money." It makes science look like a scheme to make money. I know that's not how it really is, and you guys are awesome people who just want to help others learn, but Chris says it better than that cartoon.
@mtdeezy I like the cartoons. They always put a smile on my wife and my face. I kind of want to see the montage of the Haas safety animations. The time Chris showed it I couldn't stop laughing.
Haha Awesome!
