I also saw Wasted Youth many times & "Paris, France" is still my favourite. I found a tiny antique WY badge recently - A very 'Precious' badge. Am I right in saying I saw WY Support The Birthday Party @ The Venue in Victoria? Ironically, I now live in Australia. I think Drugs & Prison were the only reasons WY were not more successful. Please discuss.

Great track by a great band. Saw them many times in the early 80's (Kingston Poly!) and always thought they could and should have been huge. True that this tune is not representative of their 'live' sound it shows how versatile they were. The ''Wild & Wandering' album had some great songs and is indeed under-rated but IMO the production is pretty lame. It never really works if both band and producer are on that shit. Great memories though! Thanx for posting.

MG, how time flies!!! Seems like only yesterday I was a teenage follower of WY. I remember back in in '82 after befriending Rocco Barker, being invited down to Canning Town as a young 18 year old with my then 'blonde' g/friend and being put up woth Rocco and his then G/F, Sue and us being taken to watch them at the infamous BridgeHouse the night of the stripper. Rocco & his G/F were so hospitable, something that will remain wit me for ever. (Good karma to ya Rocco!!!) . Check out their WnW CD.

I made this video in 1979. It was filmed in the basement studios of City of London Poly in Aldgate East. Part of a video film group called VideoActive. It was filmed with b/w cameras onto U-matic tape and tinted through the time base corrector during edit. Very basic gear. Note the cigarette glow in the background.

Well I never. I'm astonished that this even exists. Last time I saw Ken he was trying to fight his addiction, and playing with his band "The Low Gods".

Rocco did his bit to become a daytime TV reality TV show star, having tried to open a hotel outside Barcelona a couple of years ago...you can guess how it went.

I have lots of fond memories of hitching around to see WY.

Saw them at Stoud Leisure centre. They came on in total darkness with just the glow of a lighted fag. The singer chucks it over his shoulder, sort of spins around and back kicks it into the audience. Best start to a gig I've seen since Thunders came onstage at Cheltenham Town Hall and chucked all the Queen's jubilee flower arrangements into the pit.
