  • I love these guys and think they are amazing as is many of the singers there and gotta say Guy has an amazing voice indeed, and no you can compare hime and michael english he is an amazing singer as well but different they are both great

  • Mark Is so funny, how he sings this song. Shows you, a little comedy In Gospel music want hurt you. Bill, Is great like always. I love when he pushes Mark out of the way. David, OMG..can hit those notes! God really gave him a gift. Also Guy, looks so handsome here. Hes a fine singer also...love his hair. hehe :D GVB ROCKS!!!

  • Finally, someone tells it like it is. In the past, Michael English was just performing, putting on a show, touting his talents. I have knocked him in the past but I have to admit he's so much better now that he's put God into his music. Guy Penrod had always been so God-centered and it's shown. For that reason alone, if for nothing else, Guy is #1.

  • They are all so awesome, but the best change from the past is Guy Penrod. I'm sorry some of you think different, but Michael English can't hold a mike stand to Penrod, and never could. It's not just the quality of voice, because those are probably KINDA close, but English never seemed to feel what he was singing, and later proved it in his life. Guy is so genuine, and it shows in every song he does. He believes, and lives, what he sings.

  • Mark has a great voice. Awesome.

  • Aaahh I cannot get over how AWESOME this song is!!!! I'm 21 and I LOVE this stuff! All my friends wonder why I like gospel music so much...OBVIOUSLY they don't understand the beauty of it! :)

  • People need to stop comparing Guy Penrod to Michael English. That is a ridiculous argument. If you want to say that Michael English can't sing like he used to, that is fine. His voice has obviously changed a lot. But when he was in his prime he actually "the lead" for the gaithers. He put out solo albums both secular and gospel that showcase a one and a million voice. I am not going to knock Guy Penrod but this whole "dream line up" of him as lead is so crazy.

  • @hoover4000...thx for the comment about people saying Michael's voice isn't what it used to be. There IS a change in the spirit that he now sings with. In one of his testimonies he said he asked God to give him something to talk about. I believe God answered through his life struggle. There is a new DEPTH in his singing that I missed before. He had song/performance without experience--he knew it. I LOVE THE NEW MiKE more and more every time I hear him.

  • @Teeninchee There's also something else. Michael English fell away for a time. If you really want to know what happened, you can look it up. But he gave up on God when Christians gave up on him.

He came back to the Lord after several years, but it was even longer before he was welcomed back into Christian music. (We have a tendency to be even more heartless and unforgiving than sinners.)

Now he sings with the passion of the redeemed.

  • The Atlanta Homecoming & Singing At The Dome r 2 of my fav videos from this group of the GVB. Add to that the I Believe Video & I'm a happy camper. That being said, I luv the new GVB! Wes, Michael, DAvid, Mark & Bill are fantastic together. The Reunited CD is one of the best there is. The blend & harmony is awesome. And Mark Lowry can sing anything he wants 2, in anyway he wants 2, because he is adorable, and his voice gives me goosebumps, now & back then!

  • I love that song so much may God bless you

  • hey hoover4000, thnx for this one....i think its off the Atlanta Homecoming. i've been looking for another one from this tape. It's John Starnes' rendition of "My God is Real. I saw him at 2:47 and remembered it. Can you please post itif you have it. It will greatle appreciated! Thnx. God's Speed! 8D

  • holy friggin' cow, this is awesome! This is only like the 3rd song by these guys i've heard, but i already think they are one of the best groups in the religious gendre(heck, any gendre)!

  • Where can I download this song for my ipod?

  • @bigabby1 u can use youtube downloader and then convert it to mp3;)

  • @bigabby1 Download Masstube free, and you will can donwload this song

  • The good days of the quartet

  • Man listen to those overtones on the end note. All four parts are equally as powerful.

  • I woke up this morning singing the lead part in this song . . .and it blessed my song. I am glad the Gaithers have it on here.

  • Mark can singggggggggggggggggggggggggg...but then again....we are talking about GVB

  • The Dream GVB

    Tenor: David Phelps(HIgh Notes)

    Lead: Guy Penrod (Best singer)

    Baritone: Mark Lowry

Bass: Lee Young (Bill is baritone)

  • Love your dream team for the GVB windspace, tho with Baritone I would have Marsh with Mark a close second :)

  • Here's one...imagine JD Sumner as bass of the Vocal Band. I know he was never alumni but it would just be so cool!

  • I did imagine it, it was called the Stamps....same thing

  • This was the prime of the GVB. However, there may be a second prime coming right now.

  • I dont think so... I dont quite see the prupose of Wes now that David is back and Michael is the lead singer. unless they gonna do sum more intricate harmonies like Take 6

  • they new sound is very good. it's neat with two tenors

  • It has its advantages... but i dont really like it. Mike doesnt sound like he used to @ all. I miss Guy alot, especially that range of his and his power and putting everything into it. And I dont really like how Mark sings Journey to the skies.... I REALLY miss marsh for that one! wats ur take on Journey to the skies with Mark? Marsh is way more smooth with it and it sounds really great! Mark sings for straight old fashion notes, which is ok, but its just normal for me. I still love them though.

  • im kinda tired of people saying michael's voice isnt like it used to be he still has an amazing voice. besides, it's not just about vocals. and there's somethin about michael's spirit, that wasnt as present before.

  • but then it must be true... he sounds so strained! i kno its not just about vocals, but that does count too. I just havent gotten used to this new GVB and thats gonna take a while. Mike looks so out of place tho... especially physique wise. He must have been real stressed or sumthing, or eating too much burgers, but let God's while be done yah man... (A Jamaican saying) I still miss the David, Guy, Russ and Bill era; the best ever GVB!

  • eating too much burgers? was that supposed to be funny? if you dont like the GVB that's your opinion but Michael is a very sweet, Godly man with an amazing voice and until you can go up on stage and do better maybe you should cool it a little.

  • I already sed I still luv them!!! check my 2nd comment. If i was makin a joke u wud kno, trust me... wats wrong with stating my opinions? I never doubted anything about Mike's spirituality or his voice, EVEN if I say he doesnt sound like he used to. You need to stop takin my comments presonally. i kno ur like the biggest GVB fan ever & I'm not hatin against the band or anything... If I came across as offensive or tryin 2 put them down, which I'm not, i'm sorry u see it like that. I stil luv GVB

  • i can see why she was offended by the eating too much burgers comment. your last comment did make it sound like you were putting Michael down. I dont think it's about her taking it too personally, I just think some of your Michael English comments was not very nice. Especially coming from Hoover's point of view, since Michael has been so kind to her personally. She didnt see the humor in it.

  • thank you ugotta.

  • They're already getting for a new CD to be released early 2010. All new stuff all 5 part harmony stuff.

  • I absolutely love the way Mark sings in this song!

  • Bills on point in this video. His voice is probably the deepest I've heard. While he's not a true bass singer he holds his own. He was taught by some of the best ever to blow the bottom out of a low note.

  • How is Bill not a true bass? His higher range, as in C, and D above the bass clef is very rough, amazing for a bass, yet not well tuned enough for him to be a baritone, or a tenor, Bill is definitely a true Bass.

  • Well Actually, when gvb started Lee young was singing bass, and bill was playing baritone, So bill isn't a true bass singer.

  • i love this song!

  • chevere... ta en el dvd homecoming all day singin ^_^

  • i song really blesses me thank u hoover4000

  • this songreally blesses me thank soo much hoover 4000

  • this really blesses me thank you hoover4000

  • This is a great song! Gaithers are kool too! But in my opinion, Valor does the best version of this song in The Promise, dvd.

  • where can i find the lyrics to this song?
