I think he can. Before he was "killed", he injected Michael Corvin's pure blood into himself (before he transformed I think). If that is that case, he may have been able to survive getting shot by the silver nitrate. Maybe.
I think Bill Nighy is an amazing actor too, and he is fun. But Rhona and Micheal are great too! I miss Kate Beckinsale in this film, Though. But Rhona does a good job.
