  • @amusingmyslf, you are probably referring to the catholic christianity. Yes they pretty screwed up. Those christians were wrong, they should have approached the other folks with love and not with war. Don't judge christianity by the acts of some foolish papal country. Jesus was all about love.

  • Very well done.

  • what most most christians and moslems for that matter seem to forget is that christianity

is a middle eastern religion not a european religion, for europeans to dismiss a pagan norse

religion and adopt a middle eastern religion is for europeans to renounce their own culture !

  • I would love to see all the different cultures around the world RECLAIM their heritage! Throw off the oppression of the foreign gods and RESURRECT the original pantheons of Gods and Goddesses! Most of which are much more ancient and spiritual than the 3 evils in the world today that have brought misery to billions, from the past to the present.

  • what's name of this song?

  • @amusingmyslf I agree, I am brazilian and the natives in my country were pagans, loved the nature and lived free, now they go to church, pay for them and pray for this shit god and christ, I really hate chritianism. I am an atheist but I totally support the paganism/shamanism.

  • i like the fact other nations didnt want to fight the vikings because they would lose.....vikings that it

  • @MrSpud1969 got that right they would lose and that was why we are respected.

  • @TheVikingChieftain you got. im a viking by my bloodline....proud of it...

  • being a rather violant person my self i chose this religion not because i want to hurt people but to have the jugement when not to.

  • Heil Odin

  • It's sad to see the ancient cultures of Scandinavia in it's modern forms is mostly hijacked by a bunch of ignorant racists, fascists and satanists.

  • @CorRomeister

I understand your point. It is not racist to be against blind immigration policies just as being against zionism doesn't make one an anti-semite. But the virtue of the universe is what gave rise to ALL the cultures of Man, to ALL the different races of Man, and that virtue is unbeatable, no matter the petty politics of the day. The essential spiritual nature of a People is directly linked to the virtue of the Natural World - not religion or skin tone.

  • @Beatnuk (continued)

the universal virtue goes beyond the imagery of culture and race. Thor and Odin and blond hair doesn't matter in the end. They are expressions of a deeper, immortal reality embedded into the very soul of the North itself. It cannot be killed. But as long as we think that our external traits, politricks and religion is what we are, we have already lost what makes us really unique. The ancient wisdom of nature is not ancient - it is ETERNAL. Politics irrelevant.

  • Europe, the U.S. and other parts of the world follow the Norse version of the 7 days of the week, most notably being Wednesday, Thursday & Friday (Woden's Day, Thor's Day, & Freyja's Day)

  • May Europe rise once more from the shackles of financial terrorism and zionist corruption and influence, may we once again enjoy a beautiful peace, erecting all around us the most supreme and highest of culture in all spheres of life

  • Hails! I am of Prussian descent and a non-advocate of Christianity.

Likes: Solemnity. Prussia. Hawaii. Genealogy. Family. Indigenous peoples. Nature. Cats. Birds. Freedom of speech.

Dislikes: Bigots, hypocrites and the leaders of all the one and only true churches.

  • go be faggots elsewhere or ill show you a real fucking viking hammer to the face guys

  • The pagan nurse?

  • Hagalaz Runedance - The Dawning. Great pagan song. Pagan religions rise in 21 century!

  • The abrahamic religions, sucks and are created by violent middle-eastern people. Indo-european Paganism is the right way.

  • cool.

  • When did Norse paganism orginate? I know before Vikings, Odin was called Woden by the germanic people.

  • @tokyoking2 That's a very good question; "Certain it is that, far away in the dim ages of our nation's dawning, when Aryan tribes, said to have come originally from the plain of Iran, in Central Asia, swarmed over and settled in Northern Europe, they found their ideas of God in Nature." --Margaret Baillie-Saunders; So, perhaps 20,000 years ago, in Western Asia, during the last ice age, probably just below the ice sheet.

  • hail to the Gods of Asgard

  • Breathtaking, I love this video so much, beautiful pics & music, thx.

  • Asatru in Scandinavia is not a matter of belife today, Its a matter of heritage and pride.

  • @NordenHonor This is a good thing. I wish the US wasn't so petrified of non-Christian religions.

  • @tangotangoromeo Atheism and Christianity are the top faiths over here.

  • Christianity fucked up too many cultures. They should of minded their own business.

  • @amusingmyslf In Jesus Christ name Amen.

  • @laurag333 Your jesus is just the newest name in a very long list of archetypical "saviors" He is just the most recent spin-off of much older gods.

  • @amusingmyslf its sad when you think about it..

  • @amusingmyslf Agreed The Christians should've stayed in their deserts

  • @amusingmyslf I agree I'm from the south pacific they nearly wiped out our culture but slowly our first religon is coming back.

  • I love to dance to this music.

  • Reasons the Vikings were more civilized than the other folk of Europe:

    1. They generally didn't kill each other over religion, but instead viewed Christianity as it was practiced then as being birthed from hateful men.

    2. Most Vikings (farmers, warriors, traders) were free men with rights, unlike the peasants of Europe.

3.They bathed. Once a week, which was considered excessive by other cultures.

    4. They were no more bloodthirsty than other cultures, but anglo bias lead us to believe they are.

  • @themanclaw2 When the Vikings made their mark, the Byzantine Empire was still very much alive. In the Byzantine Empire bathing once a week was not considered excessive. Dont forget the Varangian Guard, made of Vikings, who served the Byzantine emperors. Also, Vikings settled in the Balkans, peacefully, prior to their military adventures of the 9th Century.

  • @themanclaw2 DUDE:

    1. Until Christianity made it's way into Scandinavia, then they persecuted the older religions just like everywhere else in Europe - Which is why people fled to Iceland and kept heathenry alive there for a while.

    2. The social structure of the Anglo-Saxons was like that of the vikings, with freemen, dryghtens, eorls and kings - Peasants were post-1066 so please research this a bit more.

    3. I agree

    4. Yes they were more bloodthirsty whilst pagan, but justifiably so imho

  • @themanclaw2 When the Greeks they made temples and statues, vikings was in the caves!

so dont tell me about civilation! i love Norse mythology but no the nonsense!

  • @LightOfDemacia the greeks were not around in the same way during 800-1000 AD. Civilization had *devolved* around europe at the time.

  • @LightOfDemacia He's talking about a time when the Greeks weren't dominant ._.

  • @LightOfDemacia Of course... it depends what you mean by ''civilization'' doesnt it?... i should think getting hold of enough marble and the flatland to build temples in Nordic pine forests and mountains was quite difficult... There are plenty of Stone structures and plenty of off-shoot nord and germanic races like the Normans as one example who's archetecture was fascinating when they had easier land to build on...

  • @themanclaw2 another reason, they didn't have black person as slaves, actually they have other white people or even weaks vikings as slaves, vikings didn't give a fuck about skin or racial supremacy ;)

  • @themanclaw2 You forgot to mention their human sacrifices.

  • @ElenaXVI Yeah that is correct the Vikings in the east the Varangian Rus who founded Russia sacrifised a voluntary slave girl during the ship burial.

  • @SvitjodViking Your nickname is exceptionally gay, do you love Halloween so much you constantly play your character?

  • @ElenaXVI No my name means Swedish vikings and nothing else.

The gay thing can you be yourself and I only answered you with real facts about the Varangian Rus north Germanic shipburial.

  • @SvitjodViking Well, OK. I thought you were trolling me, so sorry.

  • @themanclaw2 Interesting only problem because they tended to raid for goods and Women they didn't develop they country properly

  • @cleverfox2008 What country could develop properly with a constant lack of resources? Cattle and Crops died very fast. Scandinavian territory is where all seasons except winter were short. And they really didn't have established kingdoms for a long time. There were those considered kings. But they really had no authority. People were constantly at work farming and hunting. Eventually, tribes began raiding other tribes. Which eventually became overseas viking (Raid). And it worked.

  • @themanclaw2 Amen. Precisely correct.

  • @themanclaw2 I also like them because the women had more rights than most other cultures gave to their women at that time ie. being able to be in the military

  • @JuggieC The role of a woman was generally, though not always restricted to, being a housewife, but also notably defending the home when the man is off fighting. There have been many times when people came to town to rape and pillage, but just ended up getting their balls chopped up by the women.

  • @themanclaw2 Ah ok :) I like learning things, so I don't mind if ever being corrected. Thanks for helping :)

  • Norse Gods and Goddesses are not immortal they can be killed by cunning spells and simple bravery

  • perfect

  • I don't get it. Why has the term "pagan" become synonymous with with my ancestors of all people? Hindus are pagan. Buddhists are pagan. Shinto are pagan.

It just seems like people are willfully ignoring the horrible things these barbarians did, and instead hold them high as paragons in contrast to the "Abrahamic patriarchy". I can't even look up the mythology without some pseudo-spiritual nonsense polluting it. The old norse faith is dead, stop pretending.

  • @AnomalyINC It will never die friend

  • @VILeonidasV Oh really? When was the last time you hung somebody from a tree to honour Odin? Or wet yourself during a thundestorm because you thought Thor was having a fit? When was the last time you went to war? After all, going to war is the only way you'll ever end up in Valhalla. If you die of sickness or old age, prepare for many cold years in Hel.

And before you say anything, I know full and well that I am being a jackass.

It just feels like you desecrate the history of my people.

  • @AnomalyINC You assume that I am of the old faith. You assumed wrong. I simply believe that the spirit of our ancestors will always live in us. We are them, they are us. Your "Jackass" statements mean nothing to me and I can assure you the last thing I'd do is desecrate OUR peoples history.

  • @AnomalyINC I actually still offer animals (mostly small ones) my grandma and grandpa does it to.

  • @Undeadguy95 I don't give a rat's ass what you deviant wannabes do to animals, leave me alone already! I am sick of you "lul im exotic" white-ass supremacist asswipes clogging up my mailbox with your hatemail and asinine "explanations" that have no basis in historical fact. You filth are the reason I am ashamed of being Scandinavian.

  • @Undeadguy95

No on in their right mind connected to Nature would ever want to - or need to - kill another living being as "sacrificial offering" - these ""pagan customs" are not genuine - they were lies and propaganda spread by the religious invaders to justify their genocidal campaigns against nature-based religions.

  • @AnomalyINC Yes. The "Horrible" things they did. Like advance sea faring technology. And bathe every weekend (Where most european cultures did so every few months). And be highly tolerant. And offer slaves a chance to work for their freedom. Oh wait....none of that is horrible. And they plundered churches cause they needed a means to provide for their own homes and families. Cause you know, farming was almost impossible to accomplish in the cold scandinavia. But Christians....Closing trade with

  • @Fuk99999 I can not believe you are defending what they did.

True, the old Norse were very tolerant, as long as you were not a woman, for example.

And farming was not, nor has it ever been impossible up here. There are plenty of farms up here, and it is colder in Scandinavia now than it ever was during the viking age. That you claim that pillaging and raping is a completely valid form of survival say more about you than I ever wanted to know.

  • @AnomalyINC Yeah. Colder. AND WE HAVE HEATING TECHNOLOGY IN THIS AGE! So go back and re-think your words on that matter. Farming and hunting was also much easier for europeans. Scandinavians live in MUCH colder lands. Where the longest season is winter. Other seasons arent long enough. Never said rape was by any means justifiable. But thievery so you have something to profit from? To buy armor and food? Yeah. Oh, and the women thing.....Svandinavian women were much more tolerated than their

  • @AnomalyINC european counterparts. Why?......How many times in history do you hear christian women other than, say, joan of arc, get a good rep? Oh yeah.....She was burned to death. By people of the same faith. Norse treasured wives and daughters. Hell, Odin was known in myth as a hermit wandering midgard (I think) every winter cause frigga needed goddess time to herself. His own home. She would kick him out every winter. And he wouldnt complain. Odin set an example. To put it simply, rape only

  • @Fuk99999 We do not have heating technology in the field, we have them in our houses. And i do not see what Joan of Arc has to do with anything. And Odin did go around as a wanderer, true. During which he slept with anything female in hopes of greater knowledge. And your statement of the norse treasuring women is half true. The treasured parts of them. Rape was considered a very manly thing to do, while being raped could kill you. And don´t try to tell me how Scandinavia works, I live here.

  • @AnomalyINC Better clothing material too jackass. I never said anything on how MODERN DAY scandinavia works. Joan of arc was directed at your woman statement (Because women were never treated too well by many cultures at that time, scandinavia being better than most). Anyway, Just dont question my still growing knowledge on them. I read info from many dedicated materials. From the aryan fuck face websites to actual research reports.

  • @AnomalyINC only happened to women of other cultures. Seriously. You talk about the negative things they did. I got news for you. The nazis were fuckin horrible. They wanted to eliminate jews. They commited the infamous crime, the holocaust. They did human experimentation and torture. THEY ADVANCED MEDICAL PROGRESS YEARS BEYOND WHAT IT WAS AT THAT TIME! My philosophy - so long as the ends justify the means. Thats the kind of person I am.

  • @Fuk99999 Again, your "philosophy" tells me too much about you.

Believing you can revive a long-dead faith makes you ill-informed and a ripe target for mockery.

Justifying rape, torture and murder makes you an asshole. At best.

Now if you'll excuse me, I will go and live my life, free of the superstition that plagued my ancestors.

  • @AnomalyINC Asshole? Believe me, that would be you. The "long dead faith" as you put it, is already revived. In the forms of Asatru and Wotanism. I myself, have no faith in anything. Once again, you have your way of thinking. Your ethics. And I have mine. Criticizing me for simply thinking differently from you makes you an asshole. You can have morals. But I prefer to have as little as possible. To me, they're like chains on the mind. And I hate restriction.

  • @Fuk99999 Are you saying its bad to have morals? lol

  • @TheSandersCross morals are nothing but social restraints. it's your own natural conscience that counts, as long as it's independent of the moral standards society expects us to restrict ourselves to. for example i don't go killing people just cuz it's immoral, but cuz i respect life and accept their views. AND cuz it's illegal :D

  • @Biologist17 But you cannot even make a valid arguement without using morality to justify it.Even saying that allowing our own natural conscience to be free from moral restraints is a type of morality. You think its "good" to do so.And again you say you don't kill because you respect human life and are tolerant of others views.Once again, this is a type of morality. You are saying its "good" to respect human life & "bad" to do otherwise. You cannot even follow your own arguement.Thats all I'm sayin

  • @TheSandersCross Well, in my personal belief yes. Only because I believe morals make most weak. There are those who need morals as a guide because they lack any control without them. That being said, it is my opinion. And in no way should be taken as anything but.

  • @Fuk99999 its not dead cause i know im not the only one woh is still in belief

  • @ThorsDiciple Don't know why you're directing that at me. But hey, more power to you.

  • Comment removed

  • @Freyja1133 I never said anything about Christians,

This will be the last time I bother responding to any comment on this video.

  • @AnomalyINC Most of the ancient norse culture revolved around agriculture and Nature . they worshipped gods like Skadi and Baldr more than Thor. Only a small sect of norse became vikings and warriors, but even than the warriors were also merchants. They viewed the celts as brutal savages, because they were! The celts were considered sub-human whilst the Britannians and Bretons insulted the norse culture by pushing christianity onto them, which led to the sacking.

  • @CorRomeister I know this. Leave me alone.

  • @AnomalyINC and business with those who didnt believe in their god totally helped matters. Let me just say, if survival is a series of horrible events......oh wait.....they normally are. What you call barbarism is simply the instinct to survive. Just saying, if i had that problem, id be raiding and raping too.

  • my class is called odin :D

  • feel like dancing around an oak and making strange sounds :)

  • what song is in the background? It's beautiful!

  • Now if you’re wondering as to my spiritual path at this moment I have none that I am committed to at this point , See I ‘ve been adrift for the last couple years, Not something I recommend to anyone out there, SO if I’m off base with my Aha moment please just ignore this wondering soul

  • While Watching This short Video which I found very informative, I had one of those “Aha “Moments a light going off if you will, During my study and practice Of Buddhism I had quite a few Aha Moments, Seems that after watching this video that the Christian religion also took part s from this Belief system as well, My main rule for myself is to respect all those who fallow whatever Spiritual path, Because I believe that there is something to be learned from all,

  • Yeah. Asgard mothership,and the Thor's hammer.

  • did you know that Iceland was christianized only when the missionaries said that they could retain their practice of eating horsemeat? The Vatican, once their power was consolidated, then banned it again. But it goes on today. And they also have an aluminum mine.

  • great beats in teh background. like the music there. nice selection of pics

  • SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME THE NAME AND ARTIST OF THIS SONG!

i care nothing for religious arguments on Youtube, but I MUST HAVE THIS SONG!

  • @fascinationjesse Artist: Hagalaz Runedance Song Title: The Dawning CD: Volven

  • @Hordebrotherhood Are you familiar with the story of the Varangian guard? What do you think about it?

    John Ringo? Ever read him?

  • what is this song???????

  • @badwaiser quote! what is the song?

  • People listen up Loki is not a god of fire. This misconception is from a tale where Loki was in an eating contest with Logi (who is fire). Please for the love of Odin stop saying that he is a fire god.

  • @SirThorgil God of Chaos. God of trickery. Satan? Parallels to the Roman/Greek gods, perhaps? Mercury? Haphaestus?

I'm one of those new god/kill everything people; but it interests me nonetheless. Catholic Saints, anyone?

  • @Hordebrotherhood

The Mycenaens were established by invaders from the far North and from the Myceneans the Greeks were formed. And the Romans took on the same gods that the Greeks did. And the Greeks were formed by invaders from the far North in about 1400 BC, thus the incredable simalarities. And now the Norse/Greek mythologies are now nothing more than the basis of video games and superheroes.

  • @awesomeunbound 'And now the Norse/Greek mythologies are now nothing more than the basis of video games and superheroes'

Possibly so. But it beats being Quetzalcoatl or a fire or sun god.

The Norse Pantheon influenced our modern world, and it's legacy is felt today in more ways than one.

Plus, no one (I believe) had their beating heart ripped out of their chest in the name of Odin in the process. There is a certain emphasis on human virtue and not divine capriciousness in Norse mythology.

  • @SheikhTaqiyyameister

Well heck. The Aztecs and Mayans believed that they needed to sacrifice innocents in order to see their gods again. The Norse just believed that their gods were just supernatural beings for another universe that occasionly came to Midgard (Earth) and deserved the name gods in order to find favor with them. And our world has been influenced by every culture in the world.

  • @SheikhTaqiyyameister I had always wondered why scientists named the planets after pagan gods. Then I realized, the scientists didn't name them, duh the Greeks and Romans did. Scientists did however carry the tradition through to naming the moons and of course the planet Neptune (discovered 1846).

  • this makes me proud to wear a hammer

  • @vercingetorixrules

    You a joiner then?

  • Death to the desertgods!

Down with Jesus, Muhammed and Abraham!

  • @wallentin76 Ok. Believe what you want. It's your right as a human being. But you shouldn't tell others death to their gods. Let them believe. Why should you give a shit what their faith is? It doesn't affect you. I'm not telling you that you can't say death to the desert gods. I'm just saying be prepared to have pointless quarrels that, at the end of the day, go nowhere. If people want to believe in jesus or allah, let them. Btw, none of those are a god. Hvitekrist is son of the christian god

  • don't forget jehovah

  • @wallentin76 You are very ignorant. Abraham and Mohammed were not gods.

  • @wallentin76 Abraham and Mohammed were not gods

  • Why is there an image from the world-famous book of Kells which is the four gospels and this is about Norwegian paganism?

  • @irishxxkelt uhm its about North European paganism...

  • @wallentin76 they dont exist anyways. rather death to the people who created these fictitious entities, the jewish race.

  • @wallentin76

They weren't real to begin with.

  • @wallentin76 Ha! Jesue did die....but then he came back to life...awesome. And um...pretty sure Muhammed and Abrahman aren't gods...just saying

  • Good Lord... It's just Norse Mythology. The Norse invaded Greece and the Greeks adapted to their gods and from there the Romans did too. All it is is Mythology. Make believe. It's fun to talk about and even pretend but you don't have to blow it out of perportions. loveangel71 has a valid point with the fact that all worshippers of false gods with burn. But don't shove it in their faces and demand that they chage. That's making you no better than any other religion.

  • @awesomeunbound I am sorry mate but you are horribly wrong. Being a greek myself, born and raised in greece, having studied our history, old religion etc, I can tell you right away that the greeks were pagans with a certain pantheon since 2000BC and possibly earlier. The Romans having the exact same religion was the effect of greeks colonizing all over the mediteranean sea. Character limit, continuing in next post.

  • @awesomeunbound Continuing from post before, I wanted to finish with saying, our Viking friends didn't invade the are of Greece till much, much later, long after the Roman empire had merged with the greek city-states and long after it had split up to the Roman and the Byzantine empires. And for the record, those invasions didn't go exactly well, considering the colossus the empire was back then. Next post, darn character limit.

  • @awesomeunbound Instead, those invaders were recruiting in the Byzantine (Greek) army to guard the northmost edges of the empire, either as greek citizens, given land to farm on or as mercenaries.

And to clarify, this is not a rage post. I have absolutely nothing against vikings (fuck, I love them) I just wanted to set the historical facts straight.

    Cheers ^^

  • @Lethanian Recruited, not recruiting.

  • I have read that the Valkeryie were the Romans inspiration to creating angels and heaven and the judgement and such. Its all so interesting!

  • tell this song name such beautiful song

  • what? why be hating christianity? cant we just all get along?

  • @Arwyroe excactly!

  • @Arwyroe This.

  • I have chosen to follow odin. my opinion is to choose the religion that you are drawn to the most, not the one that has the harshest punishment for not believing or the one that your family or friends follow, choose the one that is yours to hold. this is mine

  • @worldsunseen words well spoken my friend. Odin has obviously granted you great wisdom, may it guide you well.

  • @worldsunseen I agree with you 100% and this is mine as well

  • What is the name of this song?

  • Zionists...

The 6 point sacred geometric power symbol LOL

  • This is not Norse music!!!

  • @TheBENGALHANNIBAL Yes it is,and so is their name..Hagalaz ,which is the ninth rune and the first rune of the Second Aett, and stands for forces beyond our controll.

  • I am Norse & Celtic & proud 3rd generation!

  • @spiritchaser1953 < Teutonic ,myself through my russian heritage

  • @spiritchaser1953 Greetings from a Zoroastrian Persian.

  • You forgot Tyr and my favorite Heimdal :D

and the valkyries pick the dead from battle...

only people that go to heaven is men that fall in battle. :D

  • @TPKKPT not to correct you but but you can also make it to rans sea realm without dying in battle

  • @bonecrushingsaxon well if i am not mistaken she is evil and lures seamen to their death

so is not much better than going to Hel :D

  • Great video! Blessed be all!

  • Like Viralvideo said about 15hrs ago, ignore this "loveangel71" person. They aren't worth the time & only know how to bully others to make boost their already lower than low moral & self esteem.

Just ignore them, thumb down their comments, and/or block them altogether. Just don't feed the hate they spit out their butts. That's what they feed off, hate returned from their hate. Starve them & they evently go away like the cowards they are.

  • @Encephaloneuron1

O.k., not sure what school you went to but you need to learn better grammar & spelling before commenting on videos you know nothing about.

Also, I'm not your buddy. As for what the "truth" is, provide video & physical PROOF of what people like "loveangel71" are saying is "true".

As for the american part of the comment, guess what? I'm from America, so I can say to you under the freedom of speech, to go else where with your nonsense & hate. & if you believe what this...

  • @Encephaloneuron1 you speak 6 languages but English clearly isn't one of them... Fuck off troll.

  • @Encephaloneuron1 If you're a so-called "neurosurgeon", then learn speak english properly before replying back cause I won't answer some idiot anymore.. & like ozwick14 "Fuck off troll".

  • @cometmoon *like ozwick14 said "Fuck off troll".

  • @Encephaloneuron1 ...continued from last post...

"loveangel71" person wrote, then you're just as nutty&brainwashed as they are.

Little piece of advice-"Judge not, lest ye be judge". My interpretation of this- Leave others alone unless you want the same judgement passed on you as you passed on them by your deity. Other little piece of advice-"Do unto others as you would have done unto you". Shall I try to interpret this for you or will your head explode from gaining something called knowledge?

  • Original~Unique~Beautiful! Blessed Be....seerwealth...com

  • holy shit why this discussions about religion.. in fact, the pagans are the most epic people ever and i wish i could go back and make party with them x) ... and the christs...are just boring :3

  • @Crazymofo335 True, modern Pagans (like me) know how to have fun. 50 of us got together recently, and I live in Salt Lake City, land of the Mormons. )0(

  • @Crazymofo335 try to find them here in my country..but its really difficult. but i do my best to spread the spirit of us ;)
