  • X PAAAAAAAAAAC

  • At the time, Bret was the measuring stick...its a shame that Waltman never got that big push to make him a world champion at least once

  • If i was Vince McMahon, i would have Waltman as a wrestler at least for a year, so he would teach a thing or two to Kingston and Ryder...I think Waltman has still a great match left in him

  • I know Macho Man hated doing it, but he was a good commentator

  • bret's knee pads ended up being sheen guards

  • bret's european uppercut is second to none

  • JR and macho man r a good combo

  • Great classic match

  • Sean Waltman had so much more potential than he ever reached sadly.

  • Look how young X-Pac was when he was the 1-2-3 Kid!

  • Hear how young Jim Ross sound? lol R.I.P to the Macho Man Randy Savage

  • Bret: Best of all time. Waltman: Underrated

  • It's sadd how fantastiic technical matches like this of the mid 90s are forgotten because of overrated hardcore matches of the late 90s.

  • @AJ36sXe

    different times

  • @StephonWallace I'm not sure what you're trying to say with that.

  • @AJ36sXe

Two different eras of wrestling, they had to evolve to compete with WCW. and them hardcore matches were equally as interesting as these technical matches

  • @StephonWallace Maybe it's just me, there's a better wrestling quality in these matches. Most of the hardcore matches were brawls with absolutely no psychology. I've always prefered a good technical match over a hardcore match.

  • @AJ36sXe

    i equally appreciate both

  • Nice smooth match. Bret knows how to put people over. Unforunatly this was before I was even born so I dont really have the right to talk about it

  • oh shit this is where i used to live lol wonder where they did it,Bushkill has no big venues. Wish i was there

  • I was talking to x-pac at a house show recently and he said this was his favorite match of all and bret was his best opponent.

  • Thus Bret and Hebner's problems start. Plus, the Macho Man is the best commentator ever.

  • This is real wrestling

  • not to deny him anything but i was never a fan of bret. i loved the kid even before he joined wwe. in this match he sells absolutely beautifully. definitely worth watching just to see that.

  • great match - its a lost art now

  • This was the greatest match ever (ok maybe not the best ever but its up there) Its was awesome because we all know that Bret can wrestle a couch and make it look good, but not too many people can showcase Brets ability. Waltman did an outstanding job

  • @baker187 ...without question. One of my fav matches of all time. 123 kid was amazing in those days.

  • Bret Hart earned my respect for such a great sportsman spirit. Awesome match :)

  • This was X-Pac's (1-2-3 Kid's) best match. And I wish more wrestlers were like Brett and show good sportsmanship. Randy Orton could've called the match back when Christian had is foot on the rope during their match. But the wrestlers of today are sissys. Wrestlers like Brett put in overtime in their matches, not just showing up every week.

  • @james14399 Do you know its pre determined what will happen in a match to progress the storyline? duh

  • @festus2999 no shit sherlock! I'm guessing you want to inform that the sky is blue and the grass is green. Shut the fuck up. I know wrestling is determined by the writers. I've been watching wrestling for years.. But instead of being a bigot like you who only likes to think of wrestling being just one big script. I choose to play along with the storylines and have a good time.

  • @james14399 umm so it took you three months to write a reply for me... and how should i know that watch you wrestling for years is it written in your username? and it doesn't matter if you watching wrestling in 10 years or 1 year, that doesn't make you smarter than other people you fag

  • @festus2999 haha looks like someone has been waiting for me. Well unfortunately I got bored enough one day to check my comments and saw your comment. I thought I'd reply Plus what you're saying now is irrelevant to what the initial argument is about. Calling me a fag? Oh yeah, good joke if your between the ages 5-18. Lol Homophobic jokes are so played out. You probably would never have the balls to call an actualy gay person a fag in front of their face I bet. Internet Thug.

  • @james14399 actually my balls are in your mother pussy

  • @festus2999 Mom jokes? How lame can you be. I'm pretty sure the only pussy you have ever been close to is the one you was born out of haha... But what does my mom have to do with this match? lol I know you're probably young and dumb, we all were at one point of our lives. But ATLEAST try to stay on topic. okay? lol You can do it sport!

  • @james14399 no actually i saw your mom pussy

  • @festus2999 haha stop kidding yourself. we both know you get NO pussy. It's okay if you're a virgin.

  • @james14399 Let's all be honest, we ALL haven't got any pussy either never or in a long time. WE'RE PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING NERDS!

  • @doeyjoey75 lol I wish I was a virgin. Like really I do. Getting pussy isn't the best thing in life. I rather live life without worrying about catching an STD or getting chick pregnant..lol

  • @james14399 Haha, yeah. Lol.

  • awesome Bret wasn't gonna take the ring the wrong way I just became a bigger fan of the Hit Man

  • "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!"

  • i remember this match like it was yesterday, it was a favorite of mine, I WISH SOMEHOW SOMEWAY he could have won the title for at least 1 week, he was young fresh OVER and he came from jobber to one of the most popular guys, WHAT A FREAKIN shame that he never held a singles title until wcw, their he was us champ for christs sakes, not until he returned as xpac did he get the ic title. THIS match proves HE DERSERVED a world title run. HE TOOK the legend to the limit, the best wrestler at the time

  • @TombstoneInc it takes two to tango

  • Sean Waltman talks about this match alot. Says it's his favorite. Not hard to see why. Just so good!!!

  • Jim Ross had an annoying voice didnt him?

  • Used to love hearing Macho Man commentary. We will always love u Randy! OOOOHHH YYEEAAHHH!!!

  • @eknouse i thought that was booker t but he just started comentating and probably wasnt a superstar at the time i feel like an ass now

  • Everyone had their best match with Bret, he made the crowd believe in the match. This was rare seeing two faces go at it.

  • bret hart is an amazing technical wrestler

  • X-Pac is better character but 1-2-3 Kid is better wrestler.

  • I remember wrestling... R.I.P. 1984 - 1999

  • 3 people got excellently exicuted

  • bret looks good the kid looks good the ring looks good and the crowd sounds good....awsome match the wrestling is superb so is commentary

  • is it me or does bret's attire look cool!!

  • this footage is from the raw DVD

  • Waltman says this is his favorite match ever. I can see why. Great stuff!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Who is the buffalo behind the microphone?

  • @Truthismysalvation Macho Man.

  • @CapitalNoise

    loooool

  • when bret won first during the match cuz 123 kid foot on rope that wasnt supoose happned they messed up lol ahah

  • LMAO HE LOOKS LIKE BRET HART X PAC DOES!

  • This match is a great illustration of Bret's versatility. Say if Michaels took Bret's place, we'd know exactly what to expect. It would be a disappointment if Shawn didn't to try to beat Waltman at his own game while we wait for some flips. The only intrigue would be in the action. Here the viewer has no idea what tactics Bret should use, and against this opponent Bret proves to be more menacing than a man twice his size when he goes on the offensive. Bret's presence is just overwhelming.

  • Dumb Jim Ross;

Fans: Lets go Bret! Lets go Bret...!

Jim Ross: The fans cheering for The 123 Kid.

    LOL

  • Bret the Hitman, THE VERY FAIR wrestler!

  • this is mastery

  • I remember watching this back in the day. Restarting the match was why I liked Bret's character; aggressive yet honorable. Which video is this from?

  • this was raw at its best, when it was live and exclusive to smaller venues like the mid hudson civic centre, fernwood resort, struthers fieldhouse, and the manhattan centre...

  • this was raw at its best....

  • Lol at 0:08 look at Bret's face

  • @backinblack333 Masterful Ring Psychology

  • @backinblack333 He looks like Matt Hardy there lol

  • With the pace of this match, I can only wonder what kind of match Bret would have with the likes of Rey Mysterio or a Daniel Bryan Danielson.

  • @fl061280 not like Waltman, Waltman unlike those you named and all of anybody who has been in the ring with him has a good adaptabillity to anybody's style. Around this time he was called the Barrometer of wrestling, Meaning if you couldnt work with Kid you couldnt work at all.

  • 123 kid was a tag champ with sparky plugg BEFORe the rumble

  • can anyone tell me when did 123 kid leave the wwe.

  • wow bret could carry any wrestler back in the day

  • Does Bret have somebody's jizz on his tights ?

  • Kid no-sold a body slam from the Hitman. Geeze.

  • one of sean waltmans best matches

  • This match gives me the feeling I had when I watched in these years...a feeling that is so far gone from todays product.

  • Excellent match 123 kid had brilliant matches with bret and owen very gifted but there's no one who can wrestle like these now a days

  • Yea the ref should have seen that!! So stupid... Bret's so nice!! I beat n e body else would have took that n ran! Not Bret though.

  • rey mysterio should change his name to 619 kid,coz he likes 619 and he looks like a kid

  • You know 123 Kid is going to use speed so focus on the leg.

  • Lol at Ross at 1:24 - "The crowd here chanting for the 123 Kid"... "Let's go Bret" sounds like a pro-Bret Hart chant to me.

  • one of my alltime favorite raw matches. this match was actually good, and the title was on the line. 2 things raw cant do today.

  • classic match.. very underrated

  • I liked Sean Waltman as 1-2-3 Kid better than X-Pac. 1-2-3 Kid was more skilled when it came to execution than X-Pac

  • @megamanxvi Yeah I would blame the partying and substance abuse catching up to him, its a shame, he could have had a long run in WWE I would think

  • man never thought i would see Sean waltman Vs Bret Hart

  • the Commentator Guy has the Deepest Voice ive heard in my Live

Thank God for youtube so that a can watch all those Classic Matches Again

From 1990 to 1996 were the Best Years of Wrestling

  • @Zappafan1980

That's the Macho Man for ya.

  • @Zappafan1980 who you Talking about? The Legendary Jim Ross Or the Legendary "Macho man" Randy Savage?

  • @ELIMINATORRRR

Someone Told me its the Macho Mans DEEP

    Voice

You know here in Germany we did have

other Commentator so i didnt knew it was him

I loved his Fight against the Ultimate Warrior

  • @Zappafan1980 Sorry i didn't know you had diffrent commentators so yeah

  • @ELIMINATORRRR How should you know if you didbt know im German Anyways im trying to Catch up to all the Classic Matches I only can Remember back to Wrestlemania 8 1 2 3 Kid was one of my Heroes when i was a Child i loved his Kung Fu Karate Moves Really thank God for Youtube All those Great Memories
  • @Zappafan1980 Ok chill out i get your point about being German, Wtf Kung Fu Karate Moves? lol fair enough and i agree youtube is awsome for recaping Memories.

  • This was a damn good match here.

  • Who would have thought that the 1-2-3 Kid would eventually become Syxx/Syxx-Pac/X-Pac?

I know he is TNA but trust me when I say: Sean "X-Pac" Waltman for Raw Guest host!

That is of course if TNA releases him and the rest of The Band

  • damn, he was so young

  • They sorta look alike!!

  • thats earl hebner right?

the same guy that screwed bret in montreal?

  • @crazyyungsta08 yes that earl hebner same guy from the montreal screw job

  • @superfrickensexy

wrong. he is very good but he isn't the best.

  • why the hell would they take a commercial break in the middle of a match ugh

  • This is Bret at the peak of his in-ring powers. I feel bad for young fans who never saw the Hitman at his best. He's easily one of the five best wrestlers of all time, and probably top 3.

  • You don't see matches like this anymore. This is proper technical wrestling. Thank You Bret!!!

  • @syxxsyxxsyxx Agree with you bro. This is when wrestling moves shines and tells great stories.

  • does not look fake like nowadays

  • Macho is not the best commentator, but c'mon better than Michael Cole, but not as funny as Bobby "The Brain" Hennan.

  • holy crap i remember this match, i thought it was awesome

  • I hate that cliche

  • It just shows back in the day Bret could wrestle a broom and make it look good

  • Raw was only one hour back in these days, what a tease

  • I like the 123 kid better than Xpac. It seems Sean Waltman took wrestling more seriously when he was the Kid.

  • Best Bret Hart match! The best part was the interview after where Bret said he went out there to teach the kid a lesson and the kid actually taught him one. Classic

  • This is my favorite Bret Hart match.

  • Macho Man has got to be the worst commentator ever.

  • Randy Savage: Great wrestler/Terrible commentator...

  • @superfatamusic step into a slim jim OH YEAH! hey, he was in the WWF for years, why isn't he in the hall of fame?

  • @jediKnightreviews

He has some issues with Vince McMahon. But he absolutely belongs in the HOF. Freak out, freak out! BTW, Black Machismos segments with Hogan in TNA are funny, nostalgia comedy gold!

  • that match made x pac immortal if you will^^ or lets say that match is his entrance card into the hall of fame

  • 123 kid certainly changed his appearance a lot when he turned into Xpac.

  • 1-2-3 kid was awesome in my view

  • @bajan86

I really liked him and his style back then. But I thought his ringname/gimmick was kinda silly and it sounded like a four year old came up with it. Even Sean himself hated it.

  • @bajan86 hes x pac

  • LOL 'Mucho Man'!

  • Yes, this match was great, should have been on the Bret Hart dvd!

  • what are you talking about, are you crazy???!!!

  • the mucho man is so overtramatic and his voice is over the top.

  • this match made sean waltman in my opinion. his match with razor a year earlier got him noticed but this match took him to the next level

  • the "kid" said it himself in a interview this is one of his personal favorite matches it shows workrate and both natural ability

  • 123 kid looks nothing like x pac

  • man after this match you wud think waltman shud have had a massive push

  • @michaeljohnfalsey He did! He won the tag team titles with bob holly in a huge upset at royal rumble 95 and he was being prep for an intercontinental title run before he left to wcw

  • @michaeljohnfalsey well it's cause everyone had great matches against bret.... wasn't a surprise to vince.

  • One of my personal favorite matches ever. It was awesome.

  • holy sht wut a match fuking awsome!

  • i know y cant wwe be at least like this the way it was in the early 90's

  • What the heck happened to Sean Waltman? His career and his life went downhill from here.

  • Jim Ross recently said on his blog that he still considers this one of the greatest matches ever on Raw.

  • I wish wresting today was more like this.

the wwe today is no much conpared to the 1990's wresting

  • Who won this match actually?

  • See "Part 2"

  • Jesus, Remember Guys like the 1-2-3 Kid, Razor Ramone (Scott Hall I think), Diesel (Kevin Nash), Bob Backlund & those guys from the Early 1990s...
