  • Incorporate this with kinect and you will have a proto-hollodeck.

  • Very impressive. Wonder if anyone thought of a game that automatically aims where the player's looking at.

  • look pretty hard to play!

  • if looks could kill....

  • im going to be the trol for the day

    FAKE AND GAY

lol just kidding this was epic

  • @sk8er4life00001 >troll

    >RWJ quote

    >epic

    How old are you?

  • @Icedude91 It's very real. Search it on google.

  • wow this would be such a great tool for nexuiz.

  • Impressive.

  • having infrared light in your eyes for long periods of time sounds dangerous,

  • This technology has been used in military applications for years. Apache pilots have routinely used eyesight controls to control gun turrets when performing close air support since the mid 90's if not before.

  • why on earth would anyone want this? if its just to show off that it works, thats fine, but for playing multiplayer or even just singleplayer, this must truly suck.

the big question here is: what's wrong with the mouse?

  • @QullVideo your eyes are probably much faster & more accurate than a mouse. thats why. hell, I would want this.

  • You could aimbot the shit out of someone like that.

  • @Chibers

It's not accurate enough to do that I guess

  • technology is growing fast... soon there will be apple eyephone

  • @MrStasko "Made for the common retard(TM)"

  • man you r a retard :))

  • fake

  • Comment removed

  • This technology will be integrated into expecting Apple tablet.

  • This is fake

  • AIMBOT!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thats Fcuckin mad!

  • wow cool

  • i agree.

  • Yeah...that's not even possible

  • It really is possible

Look up camspace on google it works about the same way :)

  • I meant causing one eye to look in a different direction than your other eye.

  • Comment removed

  • Haha, nah. you can hear him shuffling his feet.

  • That gives some people unfair advantage.

  • no, in fact, it gives mouse players advantage, because you always have to focus on your crosshairs, but when you need attention on two enemies (for example), you can only watch one of them, or else your aim would be "jumping" from one to another

  • @bf2lover42

then there is something called practice.

  • @Sick2Destroy Are you crosseyed or something?

Because you can't practice looking at two enemies at the same time.

  • best comment ever

  • lol like people aren´t lazy enought already xD in my opinion this isnt such a good idea...

  • It's good for people that are paralyzed

  • oh yeah your right, i didnt think of that : /

  • ProjectZeus, how can you be so ignorant against paralyzed people? \=

  • im not ignorant, i just didnt think of it O.o

  • I still think it's a pretty cruel thing to say \=

  • I think my head would hurt from staring that much all the time.

  • lol

  • What about if you wanted to look at something on the right part of the screen without it starting to turn?

  • and u think u can use this method with other games?

  • your eye balls will explode if you do play competitively like this.

  • No, or else they would explode, anyway. You still do the looking, even if you use a mouse.

  • Seems so much easier to just use the ol' WASD and mouse don't ya think?

  • You you could use your mouse. I don't mean for aiming, but just for fireing. Or even use a controller.

ps: If this gets improved so the update speed it higher it looks like it would be very useful, since I can look at things while strafing a lot easier than look at them and keep a bead on them with the mouse.

  • not bad, but I don't think it'd be ideal for playing fps games competitively.

  • cool, but how well does it track your eyes when you are bobbing and weaving... you know... like when you are really playing a FPS? No one can sit still like that when playing a good game.

I guess you need an eye-patch or headgear, or something.

  • You can move your head around in a cube shaped area about 60x60cm

  • I think it would be good until when you quickly want to look at your hp while in a fight the game would also look down and it would be annoying lol

  • This is a true project you son of a bitch :)

  • No it really isn't, you whore? >_>. The eye movement detection node would have to be staticly placed directly infront of the eye with mimimal movement to work.

  • haha lol

  • fuckin leeeet

  • How much does this eyetracker cost and where can i get it?

  • All you need now is a gadget that lets you shoot your gun by shouting FIRE.

But seriously though, this eye controller seems very flawed for gaming, especially since you still have to use the keyboard, it would be simple just to move your right / left hand a few inches away from the keyboard. Still, very interesting technology.

  • a shit

  • alls well until you have a quick glance at your ammo or health counters

  • bullSHIT

  • dont blink or YOULL DIE!

  • uhmm but its not precise like my super razer mouse:DWe pro players neeed mm precision wen fire and we very often in couterstrike keep the mouse on a direction were someone could come out and keep watching in another direction to control that way too..it will be crazy with the eye controler ahaha bcz the eye controler is agains the real life.I Mean in real life u can have your gun pointed in a direction and look in another direction so wen u will have to look back u dont have to move the gun too

  • You type like you are bashing your head against the keyboard and aiming to punch the right words in no way are you pro.

  • u are just a dickhead who dont understand a shit. However the fact is this tecnology is useless for videogames and the other one is that u are a stupid child who dont want to accept something that he is not able to do like probably playing at pro levels ...but whatever ... i bet u see the lans competitions only with demos .. its useless to talk with u !

  • I'm sorry, but I dont speak pinapple type better idiot.

  • haha indeed, anyone who is good at a video game can type proper sentences :)

  • Ah indeed, I do believe this man, MR. Solmyr2, is as they say, "An epic Fail" do my fellows agree?

  • Agreed.

  • You are right! +1 from me

  • lol imagine someone sitting behind you and moving his eyes like crazy

  • pretty cool. How much? Seriously. I want to buy 1. Where can i get it?

  • lol

  • lol

  • Actualy it's not fake , if you look at the bottom of the screen you can see infrared light coming from the screen , it's at 60Htz that's why it's flashing.

Damn kids this days , everything is fake huh?

  • @Cazaq wow.........i didnt even see that...or even care about it......you smart! *or you used google*

  • The one thing crucially wrong with this video is that we don't see his eyes. That is the whole point of the video and without seeing them it's just boring.

  • He said he moves with the WASD keys retard

  • Researched?! What is your idea of researching? Looking in your pants and realizing you have no genitals? Did you RESEARCH THE TOBII 1750? You know,it's only THE FIRST THING ON THE GOOGLE SEARCH YOU RETARD.

  • "Waaa Waaa So fake!" YOURE ALL A BUNCH OF RETARDS!

Have you at least taken 5 seconds to look up the Tobii 1750 EYE TRACKER!?

I bet it took you more time to post that STUPID comment then to look it up. Yes I'm talking to 90% of you.

    IDIOTS

  • so fake!!

  • stupid bull shyt

at the start when he turns

he guy should be moving then

    sooo stupid ! and fake

  • He has to look at monitor. There are cameras (sensors) on monitor. idiot...

  • aww.. you make us Sonic fans look bad man..

  • suck my goon

  • No such thing!!!!!

  • Uh, kook? This wouldn't be too hard, I'd imagine. The Tobii he's using is a a commercially available eye-tracking system, and Quake 2 (which he said they modified) is open source and easily changable.

  • Does it use a normal webcam?

  • Nope you are wrong this is possable

Did you know there is a version of space invaders which you can control with your mind!

  • wtf????

    i need to c this.

    lol

  • lol i'd get dizzy if i had to look around and shoot really fast

  • This seems really cool but I wonder how well it would work in reality.. probably not as well as the mouse and keyboard but then nothing ever does hehe. BTW if you're into Q2 look in my videos for a cool mod that lets you use it's weapons in Quake 3.

  • o.k that was random

  • that would be hard if you do what i do and continuously shoot at one target while looking around the screen for others

  • if course you can use it...but then again, he would have made any thing to show us now would he? retard. :s

  • Holy shit! I never knew of this , cool! I guess those things are expensive? I want one :P

  • wouldent it be really hard to play as you wouldent be able to look at ure enemies when turning

  • it would also be a bitch if you had a twitch...

  • but it would be good to dodge their attacks while still looking directly at them and shooting. This thisng looks awesome!

  • Cool.

  • no wander ppl wn me

  • he missed the first shot ahahah

  • To megadeth63, He's not demonstrating his aiming skills, but the damn monitor!

  • Ну не лох?

    хотя я согласен с видео - типа ку2 рулез. :)

  • Hi, I work in a small usability consulting firm in Norway. We've got a brand spanking new Tobii T60 eye tracker, and I wonder if it is possible to get hold of the software you are using to control Quake? We are throwing a Christmas party here, and this would be the perfect application for us.

    Regards,

    Thor

  • LOL

Maybe he have connected another controller what takes control on camera don't you think ?

  • Nope, this is fo' real nigga :P

  • when i see it on real, i gonna believe it :P

  • try to play action quake 2 that way

  • Thats realy cool... but problem is... if u wanna cheak ur ammo or HP in middle of the fight u will loos the target

  • hy all

  • Hope someday computer can read what user thinking. That would be nice enough though.

  • They do, it's just very buggy. Saw it on Discovery Channel.

  • used on discovery shuttle too

  • Damn, wouldn't that leave to... fantasies of sex with your best friend who's a girl? Lol instant porn.

  • and be great if you got 20/20 vision.. headshot from 2 miles away :P

  • how could i get this

  • That's awesome.

"2. It does work prett bad in FPS games." We all know that, but it's still a very interesting feature.

  • 3. It works very well for games like House of the Dead, whre precision and camera control is not an issue (check my video).

  • 2. It does work prett bad in FPS games. If you control the camera with it, you will either have some serious problems with getting the camera to stop moving, or get very bad accuracy/response time. It works better i f you control the camera with the mouse and only aim with your eyes. The accuracy wills till not be good enough for competitive gaming, as the error in the tracking is ~1 degree (with that eye tracker model), which corresponds to about 1 cm on the screen.

  • 1. It is not fake. We have had that eye tracker model on the market for years now. The way it works is that a hidden camera below the screen takes pictures of his eyes. The glowing dots are IR-leds used to calculate the angle of the eye.

  • it could be real actually, that's what some people who can't use their hands use to navigate on their computers so...

  • thts so fuckin clever

  • Even if that did work, it would really suck.

  • the first invented joystick sucked really bad! but now u cant play a sim game without it. takes time to improve a tech device

  • stop posting that SHIT man

  • Besides the idiots like Verdug, I think this would be cool for people who lost limbs/hands. Then again with better technology and someone who has a missing limb I bet eventually with enough dedication he could learn how to use it well enough to be a competant gamer. I mean shit I've seen people outgame other players using their feet since they have no arms. I still would prefer a mouse though, glad Im not a gimp.

  • sweet so some must jump out and scare the shit out of you. you turn the gun and shoot the radio active barrel beside you.

  • Lol, he's demonstrating technoligy not showing off his skills.

  • Omg, he's just showing how it works! He's not even playing!

  • when you said this you sounded like a fucking child and moron

  • haha yea you're right! and he's 26 lmao!

  • It uses a lower powered laser/lens sensor to read the eyes its not new, however like other say its not that great for gaming but can let a armless person use a computer and such.

  • sweet man total domination

  • Shure you haven't played Q2 WODX or RAILZ

  • bullshit. Wheres the sensor that ya look in too billy bollox?

  • It`s not so good for FPS games as it seems. All those tricks and ,you know, "acrobatics", ultra-speeding-twists and mega-fucking-jumps that are performed with the mouse WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE((( with this device.

  • haha =) u right

  • if it was real, then the turn rate would be faster and smoother, and he wouldn't have his friend doing everything for him

  • Have you ever worked with eye sensors? They don't sample the same way that a mouse does. On top of that, since the software forces the viewport to recenter based on the absolute position of the eyes, he has to recenter his gaze to stop the viewport from turning.

Head/eyetracking for FPS games is actually really silly. Maybe if you've got button interfaces on the screen, but not shooters.

  • >_<

  • this game is hard as tits

  • kinda cool, but yeah looking at ur HUD and then like other stuff w/out aiming, then ...Blinking!!!! lol

  • Then show moi some proof!...whore

  • well if "shit like this come outta your garage every goddamn week" why dont you have any videos of them?

  • heh

  • Interesting step in a good direction tward something innovative.Cool.

  • this would never work for an fps. you have to look at your status bar for health/armor/ammo, etc, and at times you also look in different places you don't always want to aim at. though for actually aiming at the enemy i guess it would be like an aimbot. lol

  • i think ill stick with the keyboard and controller :p

  • Nice! I <3 Quake

    QuakeDeathmatch dot com <-----

  • lol play that for a while your eyes must get pretty tired :p

  • I can do that with a freeware program called "Headmouse 1.5 alpha" (in fact it can move every mouse app. with the face and a webcam)

  • WoW lol how do they do that. thats awsome lol if i played like that in RA3 i would of easily lol you just look at the enemy and shoot and the cross will stay on him lol wow thats sweet lol

  • Sweet.

  • omg, what a waist of time :)

  • For all the people calling BS, Google "ace2006.pdf" and you will find the paper this guy wrote for his project. I don't know what ACE stands for but I assume it is the name of the journal in which it was published.

A lot of work just to make a fake video don't you think? This is real.

  • sweet!

  • That's pretty cool

  • it wud be very difficult, iv adapted to react way faster with my mouse than my eyes lol
