I've been trying to get the intermediate piston back into the assembly and I don't seem to be having any luck? What is the easiest way to do this? Preferably without buying expensive tools. I see someone else mentioned a coke bottle but I'm having a hard time understanding what he means. Could you explain that to me? Thanks again for your help, your videos are what motivated me to do the rebuild myself.
@the70stang If you take a 2 liter pop bottle and cut the top and bottom off of it then cut it vertically you will end up with a square sheet of plastic that has a curl to it. Take that plastic, lube it up good and put it into where the piston needs to go then take the piston and push it in. Then when the piston is in and seated, hold the piston down and pull out the plastic. If you're careful it can work.
hey great video...i have a 2000 celica gt with a 4 speed automatic trans-axle...i am pretty sure the pump is bad in it...i cant find seals and bearing for it or an entire assembly...if you could help me out in finding either one i would greatly appreciate it!
Good vid.I have a trans pump thats leaking oil.I've been told theres a seal that can be replaced, but i need to check the pump to see if it's ok.Apparently if it's not the seal will go again fairly soon. Can you explain this phenomenon and could you tell me what to look out for in the pump when i dismantle it? Thanks

you can, you just have to be very careful and patient so you don't ruin the seals
