I would be happy too if they made hip hop holiday for New yorkers. Because if wasn't for NYC hip hop then graffiti , bboyin, rap, and dj wouldn't exist from around the world. Now its big in Europe , asia, and South america. Even the government of Brazil would allow the artist to do graffiti. How crazy is that? But hip hop nowadays we know as rap. And dying too. Its getting worser and worser.

@M10J10G10 what? there's a difference - first of all, Rap came from Hip hop right. Back then in 80's rap is part of hip hop okay. 90's got evolved and so on... And later on everybody start callin rap as hip hop. Which is not true. Because hip hop have four elements mcs(rap), dj, graffitti, bboys( breakdancers). However, bboys and graffitti wasn't making enough money as much as rap and dj. Rap and dj were the only two that expanded into most industries lead to rap music . And became hip-hop .
