I personally like the zune. I have an hp envy laptop, a macbook pro, an ipad, but i like the zune, even over the ipod touch 4g. i hate fanboys who even try to compare them. The zune is for older kids or kids who are more mature and don't need apps to entertain themselves, they're fine with much better music quality. The zune has a few apps, but it maintains its roots as an ~MP3~ player. as fancy as these multitouch machines are today, people seem to forget about that one fact.

this advice is coming from a music lover not a zune lover, if you are looking to get a music player get a zune hd, it was greater sound quality as well as video. if you dont really care about the sound quality and more about games then by all means get an ipod touch. but as for me i have a zune hd and a psp. :)

@IISilverDevil Yeah, but the PS3 multicore processor is ridiculous in power, and the reason it's been largely untapped is because programming for the PS3 is notoriously difficult. They have to program each core to do certain jobs and it's just really time consuming. MGS4 is the only game that really used all the cores from what I hear. It's also why multiplatform games don't run as well on the PS3 sometimes. So I guess failure. But the Zune HD hasn't even been out a year yet.

@IISilverDevil I haven't heard anything. But it's not like the iPod that comes out with a newer version every year or so. The Zune HD updates its firmware though an internet update so if it needs to optimize performance or correct some issues, it'll just do that instead. They haven't even tapped into the Tegra chip's potential yet, so I'm sure they're going to stick with it for awhile, until they smooth everything out and get a lot more apps in.

I used to love Ipods, I've had a few until I got the itouch in mid 2009, that shit died out on me a few months ago in the strangest of ways. First it started flickering white screen, I restarted and formatted everything, then it did it even while Getting it in DUI mode, I concluded it was an internal soddering or transistor short issue, Itouches are Very very cheap, I might buy the Zune HD I dont know, I'm very unpleased with apple right now.

One of the reasons why i cannot stand the ipod is that apple has too much emphasis on simplicicy, i have a touch, and i have a zune 80 GB. My touch is decent but it gets boring after a while, its UI becomes quite annoying because apple tries so hard to make everything easy that it comes out lacking in terms of setting itself ahead of the competition. There's nothing that the ipod touch can do that the Zune HD cannot and if not better at a conveniently lower price.

If you flip your zune upside down (Headphones on top left) right before you press the app, and while its loading, it will load like that. this works with all games.

I don't get it, the iPod has Vans SK8, and it's on a bigger screen and loads faster (because Tegra is so damn slow for everything other than image rendering) plus iPod racing games are way better than PGR, and theres more than one. These really are the only Zune games available, and honestly, they're all really bad (in my opinion) if you want a game device, buy the iPod, it's just so much better. And yes, I know Tegra is better for image rendering, but no one develops for Zune, so...

Also don't forget that the zune pass is the best deal out there, $15:00 a month for unlimited songs, just can't be beat. ON I tunes the Charge you at least a dollar for a single song!!!
