if you imitate this call quite often they will answer you. We have a pair near our house and i often crack up my wife by having conversation with them. Put out a little seed and you'll almost definitely see them come and grab some around sunrise and sunset. The females LOVE seeds, the males too but the females are bonkers for them.

There are 2 or 3 cardinals by my house and I love their song. They sit in trees and call back and forth to each other. Pretty cool.

@dharmabird67 Hi, thank you. Since my comment, I have heard that, very rarely, a cardinal happens to come to WA state. It was my Grandmother's favorite bird. Here we have Robins, sparrows, some blue or stellar jays, and bald eagles.

Look up the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918. There are 800 different species of birds that are illegal to mess with. The Cardinal is on the list. Basically, it's illegal to hunt, capture, poison, or steal eggs.

We have a friendly Northern Cardinal that sits on a tree branch in our front yard and sings his loud little heart out every single morning here in Boston, MA at 4:30 am, the crack of dawn. My wife and I finally got out of bed to see what kind of bird it was. This is our little guy in your video. Thanks for helping us compare.
