  • i smashed mine 2 years ago then got a mac -_-

  • thats no eee pc because thats no flat screen

  • mac os tiger sucks

  • @robmaldonado21 tiger won't install on my p4 prescott.

  • wher to download?

  • OMG look at the big apple logo

  • if i install os x on my eee pc would the webcam and wifi still work?

  • yes

  • mine did

  • does the webcam and audio work??? i need to know cause i'm getting an eee pc this week and want to install os x.

  • wow clever

  • is there a guide to do this somewhere? I seem to have found a bunch of guides for installing leopard, but I want tiger because it'll fit on the super fast 4 gig drive.

  • get rid of the dashboard by: Typing in Terminal

defaults write com.apple.dashboard mcx-disabled -boolean YES

    And then: killall Dock

don't worry the Dock will restart

but if you want it back

defaults write com.apple.dashboard mcx-disabled -boolean NO

I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR BREAKING YOUR EEE TRY THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

  • oh and after putting: defaults write com.apple.dashboard mcx-disabled -boolean NO

to get it back do the killall Dock command.

  • is all driver running on os x mac?

  • Why is it making that sound if it is a flash memory hard drive?

  • The sound is the Camera's out of Focus clicker, just to tell you it's out of Focus. Pretty pointless really.

  • this is sad considering you can install and run leopard on most pcs with intel processors in just one step. and if you want tiger you can run it on PearPC and just make it full screen.

  • lol over 1 or 3 years OS X runs flawless on pc's

  • can someone please tell me how you do this? i have an eee pc adn i really want to put os x on it

  • I am thinking of doing this for an Eee PC. Should I use Tiger or Leopard? As I already have the Leopard disks it would save some time.. or does it have to be OSx86 (or whatever from the web)?

  • i wouldn't do leopard as it would be as slow as a snail pulling a brick

  • i got leopard working decent on my 4 gb SURF with 1 gb RAM and it wasent so bad exept the SSD was full i had used like 6 + SD cards for applications music video etc but it wasent so bad BUT! Tiger is just da BOMB! on the Eee

  • if i do this on my 4gb will i still be able to use the disks restore utility if i want to put it back to normal? because i dont want to get stuck with it for ever

  • Can I do it on a 2gb?

  • You can if you want no left over SSD space and for it to be COMPLETELY stripped down.

  • It isn't illegal. The DMCA doesn't say anything against running an OS on a "unsupported" hardware. It does however state in their EULA that your are prohibited to run Mac Os X on a "non-apple-branded computer". Just slap on a apple sticker that comes with an iPod and your "legal" =)

  • Doesn't break license.

  • Who gives a fuck.

  • That Stupid MAC delete all my files, just watch my video when I was about to install it

  • duh because you had to partition the hard drive to accommodate the new OS its your fault for not knowing that not the mac's.

  • Is the eee pc 2G 4G or 8G?

  • even if it is 2 or 4, u will need 8 gb 4 better & faster work.

  • How did you do it???

  • google it

  • Woah! Downclock it back to 633MHz! I can feel the extreme lag from here ;) I assume its clocked at 900MHz yes?

  • so.... i guess this makes you feel like some sort of pioneer...

  • its mac or linux?

  • OS X Tiger x86

  • Other than hardware mods can you still use the internet?

Luckily yes.. the red Mac Dashboard Version 2.06 cd that came with the USB Huaiwei E220...install that..it works..so far so good..can use the huawei usb modem...the Mac Dashboard CD made the USB huawei modem work nicely by createing a virtual disk with all the drivers and watcher app

    ..can surf now

  • b) use the paperclip method to create a VGA bridge because OS X on the GMA900 chipset defaults to output on the VGA port causing the LCD to stay blue (and setup as a second display.) By bridging it, you disable the VGA port and the LCD is setup as the main display.

  • @vrzone24hrs

thanks for that. I've been wondering why the guide(s) tell you to bridge the port. Now I know!

  • apologies for the clicking sound..inherent in the camera..

How did I going to overcome the wifi problem with MacOSX?

    (a) Replace the builtin atheros wifi with the broadcom 1390 Dell wifi pci-e wwhich is detected as an airport in the Eee;
