In part it was good.....ok sorry who am i kidding it really sucked. No offense to ANYONE just my opinion and it was WAY to slow and out of beat......but still they did what they good so still good job...but next time try to do better(PLEASE)

So before you condole with the composer, mind that his is just a orchestra with people of 11 to 17, but the most are not older then 15. AND it's our hobby not our job. So, now you again. But if we are going to play this again, we will try to play it more staccato and faster.
i agree. when saint-seans created this peice, i doubt it was meant to be played in lagato. staccato, gives this peice more form and a partial accent. but with lagato, the peice basically becomes a dreary, shapeless, blob. so, you are quite correct(in my opinion)

Actually it was a kind of event special for school orchestras of grammer schools. So obviously it doesn't sound like a proffesionnal orchestra. By the way I thisnk it was pretty good because we had only had a few practises in about one month.
It is held every year in the worldfamous Concertgebouw organized by grammar schools in Amsterdam they rent it for a day for 7000 Euro all-in which is complete PEANUTS compared to other happenings there,but they do it for the kids you know......

wtf is er met de piccolo? trompetten? waarom stemt de saxofoon zo slecht. violen klinken echt niet. (leek wel een grap :S)
Koper klonk dan weer mooi...
de fluit/viool die wel mooi spelen konden het niet redden voor de andere spelers. jongens dit stemt echt niet!
en verhoog het tempo! zo langzaam lopen die doden nu ook weer niet hoor :D Piano was leuke toevoeging btw.
