The part about an olive tree producing fruit in 3-10 years is incorrect. Mediterranean Olive trees only flower on wood that is at least 7 years old. For this reason, most growers prefer to grow olives from thick cuttings or air layers.

Ignorant, they grow in the north african countries as well, in fact olives from morocco, Algeria, tunisia are the best in the world.

My Arbequina will fruit in three years and it flowers on the prior years wood.
