  • WOW that is aggressive isn't it. I can see where it could be a real problem in the south or tropics, that is an amazing amount of growth for one season. In the morning glory family so does that mean that each blossom lasts only one day.

  • @dalecalder2003 , well this is several plants I had left over and I would say probably over 10 plants here so that is why it looks like lots.. morning glory plants like to open in the morning and fade off throughout the day, however I am not quite sure of how long the blooms last on this one would be a good thing to watch next year. I know the hibiscus are one day bloomers..

  • The leaves alone are stunning!

  • @GoranMak , :)

  • I wanted to order one of those for this coming year... thanks for the post

  • @itsjustdeb579 easy to grow from seed, and you are welcome..

  • I've been doing them for 4 years or so. I never saw a humming bird here in Illinois but did when I planted these. Germination was about 4-5 days from previous year seeds. They grow fast and seem to flower in September and seeds for October. Yours look fantastic.

  • @SleestaksRule wonderful, well those hummers are smart , I bet you are glad you planted them ..:) thanks for coming by..:)

  • Very pretty, I do love the leaves too. I need to make a list of all these flowers I want to try. Oh, I also need to buy more property. LOL

  • @loislaney23 , well I bet that list is getting long .. or will be.. hard to resist growing once you get started..

  • @loislaney23 LOLOLOL...buy more property. Spoken like a true gardener! LOL

  • @GoranMak You must be in the same boat. LOL

  • very nice. I need one, thanks 4 sharing

  • @SteveHarpster , you should try one ! :)

  • That is very pretty. I saw some growing on a mailbox this summer and it really caught my attention. I love the leaves too.

  • @imstillworkin , hard to get true red flowers in the garden, and since hummers love them it is one I must plant.. Yeah Susan I think this will grow almost anywhere the weather gets warm.. :)

  • Beautiful plant....I learn so much about flowers from you! Thanks!

  • @Backyardhomesteader , glad it helped!

  • We have the Trumpet vine here in Virginia that is native. It is the hummingbirds favorite but can also be invasive. We trail ours up the pergola on our deck. It provides wonderful shade to sit under on the deck but is a mess when the leaves and flowers drop.

  • @lauriegirl2 , we have this one too, and you can't kill it.. we have one near our house and wanted to move it , well it appears impossible.. roots must run deep on this vine..
