Once you take off that is the right moment when you feel the pression on your eardrums..! I love this video..! I feel chills..! Always i dream to flight..! Since I was a little kid..!
haha, this just reminded me how much I hate flying. When I was on a jumbo jet from Cape Town we were gonna land in Joburg, we flew down and landed in a thunderstorm, it was very bumpy and people in the cabin started crying, that was horrible...
im fifteen now and im going on holiday soon and im worried that i will freak because im not keen on heights i was ok when i was on them before but then i again iwas younger
I'm going to Spain next week on Friday and to be honest, I am so nervous. I have been on planes before about 10 years ago and I don't have a fear. I guess I'm nervous because I've forgotten what it's like. Taking off would probably be the main problem since it's the first time I will have been on a plane in, well, years. Watching these really help. Thanks :)
ok since im with other commercial airline enthusiasts, i will say this, when i go on vacations im more excited about plane travel rather than the trip itself, i dont wanna be a pilot, prob an attendant tho:D
This is the sum of all fears for me. Wanted to do it as a career when I was a teenager. When I turned 20, the fear developed and it has gotten progressively worse. It would take a group of full-grown men to get me aboard an airliner now.
i am about to take a plane but i am terrified of heights so i am trying to prepare myself ya know first time flying so your worried your gonna crash these videos really help
@rich0319726 I can assure you that this is a 737-800. American Airlines has a fleet of about 150 737-800's. This is the aircraft type that is used on the YUL-MIA route.
@tomtogirl Im really scared of flying too but ive never flown before and Im going to be the best man at my brothers wedding in California so im gonna have to fly and i was just wondering how it was for you your first time. Was it easy or still scary even after it took off?
@tomtogirl Yeah... I had to fly four times in my trip to Brazil, but I still had to steel myself for every take-off and landing... It's kinda scary, but once you're up there, you can relax.
i went on southwest airlines and un unknown plane just kiddn but i dont know what it was i thought when i was in the air AAHHH WERE GONNA FALL AND DIE!!! cuz we kept on going to the side and what not AAHIM GONNA DIE..... sorry i looked at the wings of it

@EagleEyesHD Ill argue right now, 1 Malaysia, 2 Singapore, 3 Qatar, 4 Qantas, 5 Emirates (These arent the exact orders but they are the top 10 and Turkish airlines isnt in the top 10) These airlines are better than Turkish airlines and i can name afew more that are better. I will say Turkish airlines is a very good airline.
@TheWarPlanet turkish airlines are sponsors to manchester united, barcelona and milan, three big teams? the reason why they never picked those is because they are not better. if they are better than turkish airlines then whhy didn't those big teams pick them? isit because turkish airlines are better ?
@EagleEyesHD Just because three sponsors doesn't mean its a better airline lol. Its advertisement, Turkish airlines makes profit off those sponsors. Just because one has more sponsors than the other doesnt make it better. Have you seen the sponsors of the 3 airlines i told you about?
I am scheduled to fly to Ft. Lauderdale in only a few hours. I have flown several times before, but I still have aerophobia as they call it. I'm very nervous about my flight, and it's going to be approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes long. For peace of mind, I just want to know from someone who loves to fly, is flying very safe???
buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, love that noise, it's so much quieter up the front, row 8 is my fav...had to fly right up the back one flight and that roar of the engines is so loud :(

@TheRabbit223 Haha dude thats just the panels that are held in by bolts and welds. You are more likely to be struck by lightning while being attacked by a polar bear in brazil then being in a plane crash..
@ObamaIsMaBabyDaddy the only way i would fly is if i was flying to amsterdam, netherlands.... other than that, i good with being on the ground.... but those engines are put and held together by bolts and welds..... and at any moment, one little thing can short out and that plane will go down faster than a thai hooker.....
@TheRabbit223 As a student pilot, I can assure you that those engines are mounted and tested to stand at least five times it's own weight ! Never in aviation history did a plane lose an engine in flight because the bolts failed and all you can see out the window is just a small part of all the attachments mechanism that keep the engine attached to the wings. And If ever y'all lose all propulsion then the aircraft is able to fly safely at least 20 times in horizontal distance it's own altitude.
Some of the power reduction is for noise abatement, as well. Local neighbors close to the airport raise hell about the noise. I LOVE it!!!!! Doesn't bother me, at all but, some it does. So, some airports have that policy in effect. Engine tech is SO much better today but, remember that scene out of Airport? Planes taking off and rattling houses? Also, the poster is right. After take-off, power is reduced to climb power. It doesn't take as much to climb as it does to take-off.
@Crateness96 No need to be. Of course, the take-off part may seem uneasy, but that's just the g-forces. Air travel is alot safer than driving, believe or not. So no need to be scared :)
listen to the sound of that engine. Man I miss working at the airport. I would drive on my way to the hangar and watch those babies take off one by one.
Good Video, i just thought it was really funny how the womans telling everyone to turn off all devices and your there filming things zooming in and out of places, i acctually thought this was funny XD
@reedyspeedy12 A reduction of thrust may also be necessary due to the FAR that prohibits aircraft from exceeding 250 kts below 10,000 feet MSL. Any modern jet aircraft will reach a speed of 250 kts long before it reaches 10,000ft unless takeoff power is reduced. There is also a 200kt airspeed within the boundaries of Class B airspace (MIA). These facts are vague from disuse, so feel free to correct me.
Thanks for posting this! I haven't flown in a long time but I used to sit at the window seat to enjoy the view! It's the best experience you'll ever have other than sex, of course!
@scaramonga1 If it did happen this video wouldn't exist, so no I'm not retracting anything. It should have burned and crash from the sky! just like my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Gamebreaker08 Sounds like you have some issues dude. All I can say is Karma. Maybe you should think about getting help instead of trying to get negative attention on a website, lol.
@veeseee128 Yep, the takeoff is fun. You're accelerated to 170-180 mph, then in about 20-30 minutes you're 7 miles up at 500-550 mph (that's over 800 ft per second) where the air is very cold and thin. It is -60F outside when you're at cruise, did you know that? Planes are freaking awesome.
@reedyspeedy12 The pilot has reduced the thrust from take-off power to climb power. Usually, near full power is used for take-off but less power is needed from the engines once you are at high enough altitude. This is preytt common amongst commercial airliners though sometimes the change in engine sound is not as noticable as it is in this video.
@nathan775 Thinner air is easier for the plane to push through so you wouldn't need as much engine power as you climb higher (the air gets thinner the higher you go).
@nathan775 The air won't become thinner till the plane is at least in the mid 20 as far as the jets are concern. Power is reduce to stay within the 200k or 250k limit. Nothing to do with noise abatement, etc, That is usual taking care of with a steeper climb profile. and longer use of flaps.
@nathan775 It's more of a fuel saving thing. They want to get to around 3,000 feet as fast as possible for safety reasons. However, climbing that fast used up a lot of fuel. That's why they lower the nose to reduce the rate of climb at 1:42, after they are have a few thousand feet between them and the ground.
@YULspotter I flew with AA and when I heard that sound after an 12 hr long flight from London to Phoenix and I was heading to Palm Springs .. I was like .. WHATS THAT! I NEVER HEARD! great .. im gonna crash. Im such a noob. Hehe
@YULspotter Almost, but not quite. We take off at maximum rated thrust (the most power the engines can produce at a given temp/pressure altitude) for safety. Once we reach single-engine climb speed and a safe altitude, we throttle back to meet speed limits (250 KTS in most of US) and noise abatement procedures (keep neighbors happy).
For some reson this gives me hope lol

So, some airports have that policy in effect. Engine tech is SO much better today but, remember that scene out of Airport? Planes taking off and rattling houses? Also, the poster is right. After take-off, power is reduced to climb power. It doesn't take as much to climb as it does to take-off.

@crateness96 I going on a plane soon too and I am also really nervous!!! I'm hoping by watching these videos that it can make me less scared.

Im going on a plane soon ... and im kinda scared :( .
Crateness96 1 year ago
@Crateness96 No need to be. Of course, the take-off part may seem uneasy, but that's just the g-forces. Air travel is alot safer than driving, believe or not. So no need to be scared :)

I hate when thrust is reduced it seems like the engines are losing power. lol...
bigfross18 1 year ago
That always freeks me out.. when the thrust is reduced after take off. That sound of the engines reducing thrust...
bcroninuk 1 year ago
listen to the sound of that engine. Man I miss working at the airport. I would drive on my way to the hangar and watch those babies take off one by one.

Great video/views.I`ve been to Miami (south beach) 5 times,i love the place!!
steve2972 1 year ago

@Gamebreaker08
How awful a remark is that? I pray that you will retract that comment and think for one moment if that did happen! Nasty stuff.
scaramonga1 1 year ago

Thepylot78 1 year ago
why at 1.42 does the engine make a drop in sound almost like its changing gear, does anyone know what it is ?????????
reedyspeedy12 1 year ago
@reedyspeedy12 The pilot has reduced the thrust from take-off power to climb power. Usually, near full power is used for take-off but less power is needed from the engines once you are at high enough altitude. This is preytt common amongst commercial airliners though sometimes the change in engine sound is not as noticable as it is in this video.
YULspotter 1 year ago 8
@YULspotter you can definitely feel the change in power though :)
marlo1204 1 year ago
@YULspotter This is because the air becomes thinner, correct?
nathan775 1 year ago
@nathan775 Thinner air is easier for the plane to push through so you wouldn't need as much engine power as you climb higher (the air gets thinner the higher you go).
YULspotter 1 year ago
@YULspotter You also get less lift, so it's not quite as simple as that.
behinderteleberwurst 10 months ago
@nathan775 The air won't become thinner till the plane is at least in the mid 20 as far as the jets are concern. Power is reduce to stay within the 200k or 250k limit. Nothing to do with noise abatement, etc, That is usual taking care of with a steeper climb profile. and longer use of flaps.
CaptainArt777 11 months ago
@nathan775 It's more of a fuel saving thing. They want to get to around 3,000 feet as fast as possible for safety reasons. However, climbing that fast used up a lot of fuel. That's why they lower the nose to reduce the rate of climb at 1:42, after they are have a few thousand feet between them and the ground.
EurasianEnfuego 9 months ago
@YULspotter I flew with AA and when I heard that sound after an 12 hr long flight from London to Phoenix and I was heading to Palm Springs .. I was like .. WHATS THAT! I NEVER HEARD! great .. im gonna crash. Im such a noob. Hehe
mewantspocky 11 months ago
@YULspotter Almost, but not quite. We take off at maximum rated thrust (the most power the engines can produce at a given temp/pressure altitude) for safety. Once we reach single-engine climb speed and a safe altitude, we throttle back to meet speed limits (250 KTS in most of US) and noise abatement procedures (keep neighbors happy).
