That is, when the magnetic field coil is repulsive, the peak voltage generated is higher. But fail to show the other side of the coin! Generator is faster if the coil has bridle metallic core, and much faster if the core is magnetized metal ....;)
i could only notice the biasing magnet increase or increase the inductance of the coil thereby allowing more or less lenz into the equation. still playing with it tho=)
have had SOME positive bonuses to using the magnet.
very good info! One can use a powerfull magnet for the back magnet and a high current high frequency input coil instead the turning magnet wheel. Very helpful infos.
Fausto, you may want to go to Woopyjump's channel. On his last clip I made a sewries of comments about the energy dynamics of the motor-generator. You may find the discussion interesting.
Is the coging with the magnet in the back less in best case then without any magnet in the back ? As i understood there is no other benefit then the coging
@overunitydotcom Stefan, I am banned on OU but at least I can get a message to you here. Fausto has proved nothing in this clip and I made some posts on OUR that you should read. I am going to watch this one and I can tell you that you are so biased and your technical proficiency is very low. It might take a few months, but I can assure you that no honest replicator will be able to reproduce Romero's setup because it's a lie. Watch the ride Stephan as another fake over unity claim dies.
That was very clear and the relay being from RS makes me think that much winding can be avoided for speedy replicators..all coils would be matched. The total unit weight of final devices can also come down with that understanding.
@plengo Fausto, Litz wire will do nothing to increase the output voltage. Your are forgetting the fundamentals in your excitement. You also make three more mistakes and I have written it up on OUR. Sorry but I am watching this one and you need to refocus yourself and try to be unbiased. If you remain biased as shown in your statement above about Litz wire you will never figure this one out. Sorry for the "tough love."
What I said about the Litz wire is based on BruceTPU latest findings and he has demonstrated that indeed Litz wires, if build for the correct context, WILL indeed increase the output power many times.
If I am incorrect, PLEASE, share your findings after all this is science and we learn from each other's observations and experiments.
@plengo I did all the experiments 30 years ago when I studied electrical engineering Fausto. I won't be doing them again. Bruce's claims are pure junk. Sorry!
Ok, i can see how your led lighting up and the voltage is better on the second setup... The amperage do the same ? i think is yes.. but i'm a donkey :D
Nice experiment plengo! Thanks for sharing. Here is my attempt at explaning what is going here: Coult it be that the magentic repulsion (from the magnet on the coil and on the rotor) are making the rotor spin faster? ..or could it be a totaly different reaction? Have you tested the speed of the rotor for both tests?
I think the net amount of energy when using a magnet passing by another magnet in repulsion will be zero. The amount of force necessary to overcome the repulsing and approaching magnets will equal the amount of force "given" back by the repulsion when leaving the top dead center of the magnets. Off course some losses in heat, resistance and so on - regular physics.
The benefit here is that it will easy the rotation of the rotor.
This was an excellent demo. Very helpful. I was also having concerns that the small coils would never produce enough voltage. This shows that indeed they can. I'm off to the Shack to buy one of those 12 volt relays to run my own experiment. Your video also shows why the magnet biasing on the coils is needed. Thanks.
@Lidmotor forget the shack too expensive . for 12 volt applications. at there cheepest got to the car junk yard. most relay boxes have identical relays.
That is a good experiment, now go buy another coil and add it in series to the other side of rotor 180 degrees out to completly eliminate the cogging ?
Cogging is not 100% removed, specially when using the coil as a generator because of Lenz's law but it will be much smoother besides when using a biasing magnet in the back of the coil, as I demonstrated, the total net energy necessary to pass the rotor's magnet by the coil is almost zero (plus losses and the attraction to the core and off course Lenz's law).
I can achieve a better output by using this simple technique. I think RomeroUK is using this technique also.

That's a very good information about cogging, good job !!

Thanks Plengo
Very detailed and informative video
I used Omron MY4J 220 / 240v ac coil and got 59 v ac max output from a rotor powered by 12v dc 500 mA input
When the ferrite magnet was placed in the relay the distance pick up increased and so as the voltage
looking forward to your part xxxxxx

Excellent excellent work, this is the building block we all need. You might also want to try a washer in the back of the coil as well. Thank you.

Well done Fausto !
This proves RomeroUK was right.
I am looking forward to your next tests.
Many thanks for verifying the effect.

great sir! repulsion of magnets plus asymmetrical number of magnets will lessen the cogging effect. what do you think if we use litzed wire?
eidolons01 9 months ago
@eidolons01
I think litzed will increase tremendously the output voltage. I am saying that based on BruceTPU research.
