g120426 When she was young she was small enough to squeeze between the deck uprights. Also, I was paranoid about her jumping over the deck rail having read tales of that happening. She doesn't need that any longer, of course. Also, sometimes she had a leash on for walking her.
I think a mini goldendoodle would do OK in an apartment. Tess is 30 pds. I have a fenced in yard and she chooses to come inside rather than be out there by herself. They are very social Doods. I groom her daily and use a great conditioner which has eliminated mats which had been a problem. She does like to exercise so I think the apartment would only work if you could get two good long walks in per day. I do put her on the treadmill sometimes.
And yes u need a backyard and give it lots of exercise and you have to live in a house so it can walk around and i dont know if doodles like apartments and its pretty hard to comb if you let their hair get knotted

Best dog for a first time owner is to go to a dog rescue or the pound and save a life. You would not believe the wonderful pets you can find this way. When you save them, they know it and they love you for life. I have 3 rescues and they thank me everyday.

Most of them dont shed, they are the most amazing cutest dogs I have a black mini that has ringlets then when i get her clipped she's like black velvet, mate yours, i paid $850 for mine and in USA they are dearer i think, , this one in the vid is just perfect, when mine gets older and wiser i will get another one just love them so.good luck
