Education is a good thing. I know we all have misconceptions, we need to put our children in safe situations and let them experince what life really is. Teens want to take off and act grown and get into places that lead to bad things happening. I know Ice-T has said and done things we can (?) but which of us hasn't in our youth and some still. Old ways should put you on guard but be open to growth in yourself and others.
I'm from Brooklyn and back in the day's there was real fear to be had in the Bronx and Brooklyn. Don't listen to these "Wana Forget" individuals that has made it to the top comment on how it was not so bab back in the 70's and 80's. New Your City was violent then and has changed for the better now. She had a right to be nervious.....
idk why but something inside me wants to go to the hood because i have a feeling its really nothing like the media portrays it to be. in fact i could see it be very cool actually
love ice T dont get me wrong but isnt ironic that the guy that did the song cop killer is now playing one on tv but i love the show and like the song so idc just ironic
I like that Ice-T is a rapper (and actor) that kids can look up to. He did some dumb shit when he was young, but he seems like a genuinely good guy, in addition to being very talented
More proof that wealth has nothing to do with kindness and generosity. I've never been below the poverty line, but I have sympathy for those who are. I've seen people who have no homes, who live on the street. I'll probably never live to see the day that poverty is eradicated from this world (this is coming from a person it his late teens), but it's still a good goal to aim for! Even if it takes us 100 years it will all be worth it in the end!
It's true, to an extent. In poorer communities, you see the best of people, but you also see the worst. Not having the comforts that most people take advantage of in first world countries either makes a person embrace love, or hatred. You don't see the indifference that is all too common in communities filled with people who don't have to worry about eating their next meal.
I'm the lilly white Liberal who helped edit "The Mayor's Wife Wore Sapphires," the novel about the Mayor of Compton, who dies while in office, written by...the wife of the Mayor of Compton, who died while in office. I've been a PCA in some of the worst neighborhoods in Buffalo, one of the poorest cities in the USA. It all starts with respect.

It's so weird seeing two characters from the same show discussing something totally different, out of character. But it's cool.
