this is god-awful... hate to say it but that man does not know how to conduct. the orchestra's trying to keep up but can't contend with his flakiness

So it is the version arranged by Mahler...the instrumentation is no big different with the original version except for a loud crash of cymbal in the very beginning, which is quite excessive I think.

If the RLPO want to compete in the best orchestra stakes (and they have a real chance with their brilliant young chief conductor) maybe they can ditch that moribund all black look which looks so unprofessional and boring!
